I have quite a collection of bags, many of which are gifts or hand-me-downs. It breaks my heart (no exaggeration) that most do not get used as much, so I thought I would rotate through them each month.
Currently, I use an an Aigner shoulder bag. It’s a hand-me-down from my Mom. I’m glad I could now use bags like this because I had to use this, this, or this in my previous work. They couldn’t issue me my own computer, so I had to bring my laptop daily. Bags like this Aigner might not last long with the laptop’s weight.
I used to bring so much, but end up not using many besides getting neck and shoulder pains. There were also days I would realize I didn’t need to bring a certain item, then eventually find that I actually do. I was often undecided. But now I think I reached ‘work bag peace.’ XD; Read on to know what’s in my work bag. 🙂
Once I started using the Mario Badescu Facial Spray, it was difficult not to have it in my bag anymore. It keeps me refreshed and helps prolong my makeup. My beauty kit used to be too small for all I needed, but I’ve discovered beauty products (thanks to being a beauty blogger) that could wonderfully last hours. So I’ve removed many and kept lip products, a mascara, and some feminine hygiene essentials in the kit. I’ll blog more on this in Glam Love.
Of course, my wallet — A souvenir from my Davao trip. My bag has gotten lighter when I switched to this thinner wallet. The GoPro Session is a recent purchase. I use it for vlogging and to capture idiot drivers.
I had a smaller pouch before that could only fit the card reader, USB cables, flashdrive, earphones, and phone charger/adapter. I also had a separate pencil case for pens and highlighters. I switched to this multi-pouch, so I could have all and more in one. It contains all the stuff mentioned plus my Asus ZenPower, mobile phone stand, Pilot Coleto, Mildliner pens, Tombow Mono Graph Shaker Mechanical Pencil, Sakura Micron pens, and a Sailor DE Brush calligraphy pen. The mult-pouch was supposedly for my art materials when I travel. But, well, I should use it instead of just keeping it in the drawers.
I have a spare Pilot Coleto with popcorn prints (because I love popcorn) placed in one of the bag’s pockets, so I don’t have to rummage in my bag and pouch if I quickly need a pen. A Swiss knife is always handy.
The Moleskine Weekly Planner is for both work and personal tasks while the Hobonichi Techo, which used to be my planner, is for daily prompts, lettering, or doodling. It is the spring version, so I can still use it until next month. I also turned it into a ‘commonplace book.’ I use the (many) empty pages for that.
I don’t want to use my Bose BT headphones during daily commute for safety reasons, so I bought these Playground BH200. I discovered these through my brother who received one from his gf. They are very convenient! But such a hassle when out of juice. There’s no wired option unlike my Bose that’s why I always have a spare earphones.
I also have alcohol and wet tissues. I can’t be without them because of the terrible pollution in the Metro and any gross stuff I could get in contact with during commute. I almost forgot to include my mobile phone, but that’s obvious enough I need not mention it. Oh wait, I just did. 😛
I enjoy looking at others’ “What’s in my bag?” but I never posted mine until now. And because I do enjoy this, please share yours! A link or photo in the comments below would be great. 😀
