    An afternoon at the Smithsonian National Zoo

    I’ve been to Washington D.C. for about three times and I haven’t heard of a zoo nor seen one there, only of the museums and the White House. So I checked and found the National Zoological Park. Anyway, the zoological park is 163 acres; home to about 400 species. It also known as the Smithsonian National Zoo as it is part of the Smithsonian Institution. The zoo is open everyday except December 25 with no admission fees. The zoo was far from our hotel; about a couple of train trips and a short walk from the station. Aaaaannnnnnnd, it just occurred to me, there were pandas on my train tickets.…

    ZOObic Safari, my second zoo visit this year

    Continuing where I left off from my last post… I have been to a couple of zoos this year. The Zoobic Safari is the second, but I will be blogging about it first because I want to save the best for last.
