Plugs, birthdays, and that thesis proposal (0 Comments)

XDDD I can’t believe there’s MyDeathSpace.com. The site is currently down. The server couldn’t handle the traffic it generated when AP made an article about the site.

The Philippines is where:
1. Starbucks is more expensive than gas.
2. Every street has basketball courts, but every town has just one school.
3. Students pay more than they learn.
4. Doctors go back to school to be nurses abroad.
5. Everything is spoofed!
6. Fastfood is a diet meal.
7. Rodents are normal house pets.
8. Cigarette and beer are necessities. Lottery is a commodity.
9. Soap opera is reality, news provide the dramas of life.
10. Actors make the rules and politicians provide the entertainment.

Arvy sent that as sms months ago. I say that numbers 6, 7, 8, and 9 aren’t true for everyone in the country. Anyone agree with me? :P

The ff. are what kept me busy (or reasons why I haven’t blogged lately) — Lucky Star, room organizing (not much of a success though), thesis proposal, for you updates, M-O, Angel Sanctuary art (yes, I’ve started drawing again), and burning downloads/requests. :P Those are some I remember at the moment. I spend most of the time at home and trying to get most of my to-do list done. I always get side-tracked, so I barely finish any. -_-

Transformers YAY! (0 Comments)

I cancelled practice today because EJ, the trombone player, Mimi, and Jackie won’t make it YET AGAIN. My patience is almost at its limit. Please don’t let me get pissed off at you guys. It’s not only you who has to make to make sacrifices of your time. -_- I then spent my afternoon sleeping, surfing the net, checking emails, and installing Adobe Flash Pro CS3. The latter was unsuccessful. The setup file kept looking for the CD installer in which, I believe, wasn’t supposed to be asked for. I might have to buy the CD tomorrow. What’s the trial download for, Adobe!? GRRR~ You just wasted my precious download time.

Ack, I didn’t know that Ayumi Hamasaki and Nagase Tomoya dated. I only found out after reading this news regarding their break-up. I’m that behind. XP But I just knew of Nagase Tomoya after watching Tiger & Dragon recently. If I didn’t watch that, I wouldn’t have seen that pretty boy. *_* I must see more dramas with him in it.

Ugly Overload — the counterpart of Cute Overload. You should see this axolotl. It doesn’t look ugly to me. ^_^V

Airliner crashes in flames in São Paulo — It’s scary to think that this could happen. Tsk~

I stayed up until 6AM last Thursday to read the Transformers (2007) movie prequel and adaptation comics. :3 Mac, Maru, and I finally got to watch the movie the day before. I surfed about Transformers in the net when I got home and discovered that there’s a comic sequel to the movie. Thank goodness for BT. XD There are only 4 issues in both the prequel and movie adaptation. The script in the movie adaptation is slightly different. There weren’t much humor compared to the movie. But both are great to me except for the kissing scene in the movie comic adaptation. This gave me goosebumps:

Kissing scene
>_>

Transformers – Official Movie Prequel Issue #1 is available for download via this link. If you intend to share the file, please forward them to my site or this post. The zip file is password-protected btw. The password is hyukta.net.

I’ve started watching Lucky Star a few days ago. ^_^ I’m already on episode 8 and will watch episode 9-10 later. Maybe episode 11 too once my download is done. Download speed has gone really slow recently. It’s only fast around 3AM. Because of that, I haven’t downloaded much lately. *sighs* I feel like I’m behind on a lot of anime and manga.

A sms pranskter sent me a message last week about winning a Toyota Altis + Php300,000. I deleted the message, but I remember he/she said I won last May 14, 2007 as a homepartner. O_o This is annoying. The first time I got this, the message stated that I won last April 21, 2007. XP Then I got a text from Angel Santillian asking for monetary help, so she could go to the city and get the job she was offered in Ortigas. My Mom got a message like that years ago. I think I did too. There’s also another text message inviting me to a Strategic Marketing Conference. Whoever’s selling out numbers should be beat up. GRRR~ Isn’t it enough that we already get spam in our email/s? Why through sms too!? XP Aside from Pinoys with nothing to do and sending out stupid SMS, I heard about a swindler using Friendster. GMA’s Saksi covered it. You can watch the video here. The news is in Filipino, btw. If there really is a need to send money to other people, send it via Western Union. Have it for pick-up. WU will have to ask for an ID, right? That method is safer somehow.

Miyabi’s new look? She’s now sporting a cornrow and also got her eyebrow/s shaved. O_O

Bento Boxes — Ugh~ This is making me hungry.

Edison Chen punished for kicking taxi – Edison and I are compatible for being both violent. *rofl* XD

Bush wants EPA action on greenhouse gases — When I first visited this site, the article’s title is Bush wants EPA action on greenhouse gasSes. Yes, the gases was spelled with a double S. o_O Now it isn’t. But I checked Dictionary.com and I found both words there. Hmmm…

;_; I downloaded the Maison Ikkoku Special Drama without checking if there are subs or not. *bah* I can’t burn it yet until the subs come out. I hope there will be softsubs. This video is already 1GB… It’s going to be a problem downloading this again with my back-to-slow-speed internet. *sighs*

A person with the number 09156706501 sent me this message the day before the elections:

Ngayon halalan, huwag kalimutan ang isang pangalan — PING LACSON, SENADOR. Pakipasa ang mensahe ng Pag-unlad at PAG-ASA! From: 7464

What’s 7464? O_o

Pictures for now because I don’t feel like blogging atm.

The left shoulder of my shirt’s got a huge HOLE! (0 Comments)

Last Thursday, I had to wake up early… Ugh~I reported to our OJT site. I could go in late (around 10AM), but I was asked to go to URPO (in DPWH NCR) first to talk to Engr. Badion (the project engineer). My other groupmates didn’t go with me which really sucks. XP Balao had an emergency. He messaged me around 3AM about it. Wally didn’t make it because he woke up late. As for Red, the only CE student in our group, didn’t message me until Friday after lunch. If he’s got a sense of responsibility, he should be the one to contact me as early as possible. Why do I have to look for him just so he wouldn’t miss the first week of OJT? XP Balao said the same thing, but I realized that the weekly status report must have individual reports that are each 15% per member of the group. Even if I pass the report today, I already lost 45% of the group grade. ~_~ No wonder Engr. Balmori’s really worried for me. He said there’s a group grade and I forgot that’s based on the weekly report. >_< (Btw, that Red person messaged me again last night. He asked if he could make something up for the individual summary. He asked me what I did and what happened. I didn’t bother replying because that’s very unfair to Wally, Balao, and especially to me.)

I’ve been getting ’spam’ sms again. First one’s about a Tax Amnesty Seminar. This is the full message:

TAX AMNESTY SEMINAR

Big savings for you and your business
With free tax clinic for your case.

The message is from this number — 09053153379. I think I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve received such sms. Also, these people should learn to use commas and re-check the contact numbers they’re sending out. If you notice the last number/mobile phone number, it’s only 6-digits. Here’s another one that I got and it concerns about the upcoming elections.

Who’s Kiram? I almost typed out that as KIKIAM. :P Whoever’s donating prepaid load should give me some. But I won’t use it to send messages like such. I’ll only send jokes… At least I’m going to make people or at least someone smile. ^_^

I got unbelievable fast internet speed last Wednesday (very early) morning til 4AM of Thursday. I was downloading 3 different anime episodes at 200+kbps each. XD I’m glad I downloaded like mad because I knew that wouldn’t last long. It was too good to be true. :O When the speed reverted back to normal, it was ‘flunctuating.’ Sometimes it would go slower than dial-up. As usual, I would have to turn off then on the modem and router. XP

2 Downloads at 200+kbps

Actors and actresses in politics (0 Comments)

I found this in a mailing list. I haven’t received this message from my friends.

Please patronize pirated DVDs, so that the Filipino movie industry will die & we will no longer have actors, actresses, nor their spouses running for public office. Please pass.

Will that happen if we patronize pirated DVDs? Actors and actresses should realize that becoming a politician isn’t the same as being on-screen. ~_~ Anyway, time to blog about Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge.

Burning time again (0 Comments)

I fell asleep earlier. ^^;;; I stayed up late last night to review for Plumbing yet our professor cancelled our quiz to Monday. :P He even said to Anjo earlier, “Bakit ka pa nag-aaral? Wala naman tayo quiz ngayon.” (Rough trans: “Why are you still studying? We don’t have a quiz today.”)

“Age-o-Matic” from Careerbuilder.com — See how your job kills you. *lol* I wanted to try with my picture, but I decided on choosing the skull. I don’t work yet, btw. I tried to assume what I would do with “future” my job. I came out to be a bald, wrinkly, old woman. ^^;;; You know, that’s what I’m afraid of — getting old and becoming wrinkly. Hahaha~ XDDD

What Will Hermione say, Harry? — I don’t see anything wrong with Daniel Radcliffe starring in a controversial play. Why won’t people just see nudity as art? It is, right?

“Nearest book” meme copied off gokumew2
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 3 sentences on your blog along with these instructions.
5. Don’t you dare dig for that “cool” or “intellectual” book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.
6. Tag five people.

His brother was like a darker print of Samuel. – The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, p. 123

That was short. XD; I finished reading The Lovely Bones the other night. I finished like less than half of it in one sitting. XD I could hardly put the book down even though I knew I had to review for our Plumbing quiz. *lol* Anyways, I’m going to burn about 2 more DVDs and 2-3 CDs before I go to sleep again. After blogging I should read Liberty Liberty. I don’t remember reading that before.

Last Feb. 1, Globe changed their unlimitxt service to unlitxt. The change doesn’t stop only with the name. They have these:
UNLITXT – Regular all day unlimited texting
UNLITXTD – Unlimited DayShift Texting from 8AM to 4:59PM
UNLITXTN – Unlimited Nightshift Texting from 10PM to 7:59AM
TXTPLUS – Unlimited GHP-GHP texting + P0.75/text to other networks

Globe made me a happy subscriber when they started to offer the unlimitxt service. I think that started last 2005. SUN was so much the hype then. I was one of those who used SUN being that it was cheap and many of my friends used it. There was always somebody to text or call unlike Globe. Then Globe introduced TXTNONSTOP. Yet that was only for prepaid subscribers. After sometime, the UNLIMITXT service was offered. Postpaid subscribers can finally have unlimited texting. ^_^ G2P was offered just a while before that, so it made me happier. I didn’t have to worry whether Globe’s cheating on my monthly bill. Like what happened when I was told that TXTNONSTOP could be used by postpaid subscribers. I texted and texted thinking it was working. Ha! My bill was almost skyhigh that month. XP Anyway, a lot of people transferred back or started using Globe. Although they’re a bit expensive (SUN’s unlimited texting of Php50 was for 7 days while Globe’s was for 5 days only), people still used Globe for the quality of service. Of course, loyal SUN subscribers finally experienced less lags.

People will start using SUN or SMART because of Globe’s mad price increase in their unlimited texting service. Check their plans here. Php80 for 4 days? Compared to Php50 for 5 days, which is cheaper? Geez~ And they say those are value-for-money offers. O_O Crazy. I tried to check if TXTNONSTOP works, but I got a message about their new and EXCITING unlimited texting service. There’s nothing exciting about that.

Mac and I useD Globe prepaids (yep, I also have one even if I got postpaid because subscribing to unlimitxt in prepaid’s faster). Both are free from Mapua. I used Maru’s while mine was with Mac. Due to the new service, we decided to go back to SUN. I’ll still maintain my Globe prepaid… That still depends if I can afford to load that and the SUN sim. I have to check if Globe’s G2P’s working again. I was checking their site. G2P seems to be back. I checked if I could activate mine, but I got a message that my #’s barred. This is the third time already. Was it because I had roaming activated before? O_o That’s odd. It should be fine now. There is a duration limit for the roaming too. I think it’s 3 months. It’s past 3 months since I got back.

*bah* I can’t burn more than 1 DVD already because 2 of the blanks I bought are broken. There are many broken DVDs of the brand I’m buying. I think I’m getting those from the last batch of supplies. It’s kind of a sign that these blanks will run out soon. XP I must buy at least 5 more. Saying that I’m OC just explains it all. XD Aww, I won’t be able to read Liberty Liberty today anymore. Look at the time. *sighs*
