Globe’s UNLIMAIL Launch and weekend rest (6 Comments)
My Friday night was a busy (and happy) one. Thanks to the Globe UNLIMAIL Launch event that slipped my mind because I didn’t think I’d be included in their guest list. ^^; Jan and I were supposed to just spend Friday night window shopping. Seconds after I proposed that idea to Jan, Coy of ThisIsCoy.Net sent a reminder sms about the launch. I inquired if it’s really alright to go even if my phone wasn’t included in those capable of the UNLIMAIL app. He said it is. Well, there’s nothing to lose if I go and there were freebies. Hrhr~ Being that the venue is new to me, I asked Jan if it’s alright for her to accompany me. The magic word was ‘freebies’ still. *lol* The next problem was how to get there.
First thing’s first — we needed a map. Thank goodness for the existence of Google Maps. ^_^ After printing out a map, I went home first to change and leave work stuff. Jan and I agreed on meeting at Ortigas. I thought I would be late since I would be riding from EDSA. But Jan skipped the train and rode the bus. I was able to finish a book, eat a waffle, smoke, and finish a bottle of Minute Maid while I waited. She arrived after 30 minutes or so in Robinson’s Galleria where I waited for her instead of in Ortigas MRT station. T_T Stupid line and traffic. I got impatient and irritated out of worry that we might not make it to the event. If we didn’t, it would have been shameless of me to even ask Jan to be added in the guest list. ^^;
There were no cabs around, so we rode a jeepney. A jeepney driver told us that our landmark would be Caltex, but we got off the jeepney too early. There were two Caltex stations. *facepalms* I kidded Jan about being too excited to do a walkathon. XD; We found the BlueWater Day Spa after a long long walk. The place looked empty which was odd. I checked my cellphone and read Coy’s message that he gave us the wrong address. O_O It was 4 minutes until 9PM. I was almost disheartened because I knew the event was only from 7PM to 9PM. I called Coy to ask where they were exactly. I forgot that we haven’t met formally and I talked to him over the phone as if we’re friends. ^_^V We went off again in search of the other branch which was just right beside the mall. *facepalms again* Oh well, we learned a lot from that walk — like possible shortcuts, restaurants, spas, and hair salons. *lol*

A day at Manila (2 Comments)
Tuesday’s another slow and sleepy sleepy day. Staying awake during the Makati Health Development Council meeting was a challenge. X_X My stomach’s acting up too, so I feel very… Uhh… Indescribable.
I skipped work the other day to get my college diploma and file for an alumni ID. I don’t know how long the security will excuse me for not having one. *lol* Jan was also with me because after the Mapua task, I would accompany her to Manila City Hall. Something was going on in Mapua when we entered the Intramuros gate nearest to the school. Then I remembered Maru telling me that Mapua’s Foundation Week was starting then.

Still the same; food stands still located at this side of the school’s parking
I was getting stares because I was wearing shorts. ^_^V I dislike wearing pants because it makes my legs sweat and I feel like lumpia. Me and Jan could blend in with the students, but the shorts gave it away — that we’re just visitors. *lol* Dammit, there were so many kids around. My eyes had a feast. Hrhr~

When I was still studying there, I never got the chance to walk around during foundation week. I either went straight to class then home or I was too busy with the band. One time I let an ex-boyfriend with me and we got to walk around for a bit. It’s rather sad to go alone in such affair. Anyway, we only wanted to buy shawarma. *lol* There was a school organization that held a car show during foundation week. I was excited at first. The excitement got crushed when someone told me that you’d see almost the same car. The rest of the students though were excited about the car models. >_>

Sightseeing while eating
I saw two cute boys. I was able to make eye contact with one. Hrhr~ Jan didn’t see either and LOL’d when I told her about the eye contact. I told her that if you wanna make eye contact, you gotta do something seductive with your tongue. Snake-like tongue movement. *rofl* We were laughing so loud near the classrooms not caring that we were just visitors. Man, how I miss being a student. ^_^ Maybe I should pursue creative writing before classical guitar lessons. *pokes Jan*
Anyway, the trip to Manila was only beneficial to me. Jan didn’t get to do anything for her birth certificate and passport papers due to lack of documents. *shakes head* We might have to go back again soon. After inhaling the Manila pollution, we went to Glorietta to meet up with Phoebe for our spa.

LONG roundup of 2009 [Part 2/2] (1 Comment)
Lately I feel so lost with no hope nor motivation. This is a very delayed hangover from October of 2009.
Thank you to those who took the time to read the first part. This is the second and last of the 2009 roundup post. Advance apologies for the lengthiness. ^_^V

I should have done this at the earliest like I did last year, but fun times and laziness got the best of me.

Wako won our hearts (1 Comment)
Sun bills were due on the 16th. Instead of paying, Jan and I went to Wako Family KTV. Wako Family KTV is located along Arnaiz Ave. (formerly Pasay Road); a walking distance from McDonald’s Greenbelt 1. I know of it because I always pass by there on my way to the office. I have been wanting to videoke for months now. Not only ’til then that we pushed our plans. Compared to Red Box, it’s a cheaper. It even beats the eat-all-you-can coupons I have from Red Box as Wako Family KTV’s food and drinks are cheaper. I believe that you only need drinks when you videoke. Hrhr~ You already feel full from all the singing. XD;

Luncheon and dinner (0 Comments)
My weekends have been so busy hanging out with friends. I’m actually having a hard time catching up with the sudden lot of pictures I have to go through. I haven’t even gotten around to posting everything since those from late last year including those from the US trip. *facepalms*
Nov. 30 was a holiday. My plan with Jan then was to go to Greenhills to look for a nice dress. Her brother joined us, so he could canvass for a personal computer. It wasn’t a worthwhile visit to Greenhills for us while Jan’s brother got his task done.
Lunch was supposed to be at Isshin, but Kara said they closed their smoking area that day. Jan and I then suggested Army Navy. I ♥ their burrito.
That was also when I Kara brought my order of V for Vendetta masks and Bath & Body Work’s alcogel in my favorite scent. ^.^ The masks are win. We have pictures, but it may take some time before I get to post them because I used film. Should ask Bryce to post those he took.
About a week after, some CSR HS batchmates and I had a small reunion. The plan semi-last minute, but I’m glad that some were still into the plan. Dinner was at La Maison Greenbelt 5 per my suggestion because that’s just my canteen. XD; I’m only kidding, of course. *lol* Tiffany was the first to arrive in Greenbelt 5. Phoebe and I was supposed to be there earlier or the same time as her, but we got stuck in SLEX traffic. We also had to buy first boxes of polvoron in the grocery for my Father to bring as pasalubong for the relatives in Washington. Those HOP polvorons are expensive. DX I haven’t tasted them, but I hope they’re worth the money.
We went to the resto around 7PM. Gie and Alea arrived just minutes later.
