Yotsuba Saturday and the week after (0 Comments)

Another weekend’s here and I still haven’t gotten around to blogging about last weekend after telling myself throughout the week that I should. *facepalms* Anyway, before another backlog… Seems like I’m going to be spending most of my weekends with friends to keep my mind busy. It’s always thoughts during “the end of the day” that saddens me. *plays I Won’t Hold You Back* XDDD;

I was with Jan again last Saturday night, November 14. The plan was to pay Sun bills and have coffee. Jan had reminded me of dinner haha~ in which we had in BK. Dinner was supposedly at McD’s, but there were too many people. The noise was worse than a school canteen. ~_~

This is my blog (0 Comments)

… And I will write what I want. ^_^

There have been so many plans these past few days that I am now confused where to start. ^_^V Hmm, I guess I should talk about the drinking session with _the strangers_. *lol* Last Tuesday, I was _kidnapped_ by some people who were forcing me to leave early from my meeting. Of course I’m not that crazy even though it was tempting. ^_^V So, yeah, I met up with them after changing to slacks. A drinking session in a skirt isn’t a good idea, ya know. :P We had some food and lots of drinks. We took pictures, but I don’t think I can post them up since I look _molested_ in them. Whatever that molested look is. *lol* As the night went on, I kinda forgot to think of how to get home. A number of my friends got worried that I wasn’t replying nor answering their calls after I posted in Plurk that I was out with friends without knowing where we’ll be going. My Dad was the only person I talked to when he called up. He only complained that I still have work the following day. *lol*

I went home without feeling drunk or anything. It’s like the beer and liquor have no effect on me. >_> One of the best things that night was the talk with one of the guys who said that even though he’s just quiet, he understands my situation.

On another topic, don’t you find it irritating when you’re misunderstood? You wish the best for somebody, yet that one wouldn’t even realize it. Others would find it as if you have other intentions especially if you have a history with that person. Honestly, no. You’re dead wrong. My wanting what’s best for that person means wishing and praying for his happiness. Even back then it didn’t matter if I would be forever a part of that person’s life. I’m grateful for that person’s acceptance as well as making me learn a lot of things in life. Did that make sense? Whatever. I am just extremely irritated by the fact I am ALWAYS misunderstood.

Oh noes~ I am getting sleepy again. I really need to do some work or I’ll get a beating from the boss. ^_^V

TriNoma Blogger FOOD TOUR (Part 2/2) (5 Comments)

Internet has been quite slow lately. XP Damn Globe. I should also ask for an upgrade that my Dad has been telling me to do. I keep forgetting. *sweatdrop*

Seeing the pictures again from the food tour is making me hungry. ~_~ Sobrang tagal na nito, pero last part na rin naman. Might as well finish it. XD This is the link to the first part, btw — http://www.hyukta.net/daily/20080124/trinoma-blogger-food-tour-part-12

It’s about time I finish my food tour post before everything else. :P If you haven’t read the first part of this, you can read it here. I left off with Italianni’s in that post. I hope I still remember what happened during that food tour. ^_^V

After Italianni’s, our next stop was Fish & Co. Just look at how delicious their food looks:

Oh wait, that’s me in the corner of the picture… Looking stupid. *lol* See pictures below:

At yung yummy-looking tahong! *drools*

The fish fillet was good. ^_^ I never got to taste the tahong, but my brother said it’s tasty. I wish I had one. :P I didn’t get to because they served it in front of their resto and there weren’t chairs except for huge plant boxes where other bloggers already sat. XP It was a bit hard to eat with a lot of stuff on my hand.

We went to the lower floor. I think it was the 3rd floor. Haiku was our first stop there. They had a pretty presentation of a seasoned sashimi and a salad. I don’t know what their names are. :|

They even prepared individual plates of this for us. \m/

The salad’s tasty, but there’s something about it that I didn’t like much. I think it was slightly salty or whatever seasoning they put there made me hardly taste the vegetables. Hmm…

Next stop is Hossein. Our stop there was a bit long. I don’t know if the other groups went there before us, but it seemed like we were the first group they served food to.

They served us of what’s mostly on the table except for the shake/juice.

The next restaurants we went to were just quick stops. There weren’t much time and the other groups were already done. I’d then usually be just near the entrance except for those restos who served iced tea or water. XD Walking around is tiring and it was extremely hot. I don’t think we got to visit half or more of the restaurants. *sighs* But it was fine as we were full. (I could still eat a few more though HAHAHHAHA~) ^_^

Madison

Ingredients :P
Madison didn’t serve us any food at all.

We weren’t the only group who complained about this. Even though most of us were full and only few might have tasted their food, they should have still served something. Why be a part of the food tour if you are just going to show us the food? What do they want us to say about them? Na madamot sila? ~_~ We quickly left. Most likely we’ve given an impression that their resto sucks. XDDD; Oh well, at least we’re lucky enough with that as others had an uglier experience at a different restaurant.

Abe
Pinoy food from Abe

We got a taste of Filipino from Abe. Finally, something different, but too common. Know what I mean? *lol* I hardly tasted any of the food. I wanted to try the rice though (bottom right) since it looks delicious. Also, I love rice and eggs. :9

The next restaurants we ate at are La Maison and Conti’s.

Conti’s cakes are just delicious! :9

La Maison’s food tasted great. I should ask my parents to eat there next time. As for Conti’s, they ran out of the food they served the food tour participants, but the lady who assisted us still gave us cakes. They were very, very delicious. We had a lot. Desserts are great after a looong~ meal. ^_~

Our group, with very few left, headed back to where everyone else was. There was a band performance and a contest that we missed. I had a little fight with Mac as well. He was acting like a kid. It upset me that he could hardly find patience for me. It made me wonder if he was hardly excited for me during the food tour. -_- We left when we got a bit bored. We toured around and then we went home by riding the bus. The MRT was already closed by the time we decided to leave. It was a good, filling day overall. We even got a lot of goodies including a free movie ticket which I used to watch Sweeney Todd — an awesome movie that’s even more so when watching it free! XDDD

More pictures are posted here. They’re also posted in my Facebook account (minus the captions).

I have mentioned nose surgery before. I think. @_@ Anyway, hope you guys don’t find it annoying that I will be posting about it again. ^_^ I have known a lot of people who have undergone nose surgery. I haven’t heard of any troubles, so I guess it’s a safe procedure unless you go to a surgeon who doesn’t look like he knows what he’s doing. *lol* I’d like to have a nose surgery if given the chance AND money. XD I’d like my nose to be a bit pointed. Haha~ Though I know someone who would be against the idea.

Plugs and the LomoMarketManila among others :P (0 Comments)

Plugs first:

To those who do not find sleeping very important, read this — 10 Benefits of Power Napping, and How To Do It. The micro-nap, mini-nap, and power nap works for me. ^_^ The lazy man’s nap gives me a headache or it makes me sleepier when I wake up.

KOTOKO mp3s — I hardly listen to KOTOKO. ^_^V

BENTO! :D

The LOMOMARKETMANILA event last Saturday (March 29) was great! The Lomomanila members really had a great time… Well, that I could see from the spot where me and my bandmates sat. *lol* I couldn’t join them because there weren’t any available tables WITH chairs anymore. There were just tables, tables, and more tables. XP It also seemed there were non-Lomomanila members sitting in their area. *lol* The only person I met was Bong. The Lomomanila BOSS. XD I wouldn’t have met him if our band wasn’t included in the line-up. If it were so, I would have been out-of-place because I suck at socializing.

The event started around 5:30PM. The Lomomanila peeps first had their group shot near a fountain. After that, was K. Wasabi’s opening performance. After our 3rd song, a Chinese lady and guy came to us to the stage and asked why we were performing. They said it should have been them, but we couldn’t just leave the stage right away so they let us finish 2 more songs. They performed + another world music group… Then there was a duo who did some slow trance-like songs. :P More Lomomanila members arrived, booths were set-up with a lot of nice items for sale (too bad I didn’t have much dough with me), there were a number of performers, and a lot of cheap food. There were also free drinks from Coca-Cola and Tanduay. :D

The guy in charge of the Coke booth (let’s call him Coke guy) became our friend. *lol* After we performed, he was already giving away Cokes in plastic cups. We took some and still took more when he kept offering them to us. A bit later, Mac and I were checking the food stands. Then Coke guy comes to us and tells us there’s food at their booth. Before that, Mac was already forcing me to buy food, but I’m glad I didn’t. XD So we rushed where Reyton and Maru were — happily eating on a long white plastic table with a lot of food. *lol* We certainly had a good spot then. I was beginning to feel sad that I never got to fully socialize with the Lomomanila members, but with the free food we got… I shouldn’t complain anymore. HAHAHAHA~ Next time I’ll try to socialize with them. ‘Coz, you know, SHABBY = FAIL at social skills. ^_^V

Oh, we got a nice group picture btw. Maru took some, but ginomatic’s shots are better. ^_^

Mac's got his eye closed *lol*

Sagrada tribu member ON FIRE! XD

More pictures here.

We left at 10:30PM. My ‘rents picked us up, but they looked around first before we left. My Dad and Maru saw something they shouldn’t have near the entrance of Neo Chinatown. ^_^;;; *COUGHwhiteCOUGHundiesCOUGHCOUGH*

Before the LomoMarketManila event, I was mostly stay home. I tried to clean up my room. It’s a hopeless attempt. DX Maybe this week I can get an area cleaned up. After my parents arrived, all the stuff I got are dumped on the foot of my bed and near my desktop. It’s messy that I find it hard to concentrate when I see all them. *sighs* Other than that, I managed to finish 98% of the 36 Moons’ website. Although I haven’t changed all the templates of the archive. It might take me forever if I did that, so I’m leaving that to Lez. XDDD Besides, I might delete a part of her chapters/stories and that would be so bad. All that’s left to do is to link the sidestories in the archive.

Time to cancel my Dad’s ticket at PAL. ~_~

Oh, the person I messaged, please reply asap. Parang hirap mo ma-contact. Tsk, tsk.

Most of us have persistent hair. I mean, instead of shaving, we wax to even remove the hair roots. Most was products state that after a number of use, hair will be thinner or no hair will grow back anymore. For me, that hasn’t happened at all. I tried 3 different products and they’re all bleh. XP Then again, I have no right to complain since that’s what I can only afford. I hate having to shave. Others gifted with lots of dough undergo laser surgery for hair removal. Every session surely does take a lot of money, but it seems worth it. Visit the site to give you a background on laser surgery for hair removal.

TriNoma Blogger FOOD TOUR (Part 1/2) (1 Comment)

It took me time to publish this post as it took me ages to edit all the pictures from the event as well as type this out. ~_~ I’m awfully busy and won’t be able to blog that much until my board exams are over! Wish me luck, guys! Anyway, I should start with my food tour post. :DDD This is going to be long because I like going into details. I know you hate long entries, but don’t close the window as there will be tons of food pictures that will (probably) make this post less boring. XD

I had some matters I attended to before I was able to go to the TriNoma Blogger Food Tour causing me to almost miss the event. -_- I was lucky I made it just on time before all the groups left. My brother was even luckier than I am since he was invited to join the food tour without having gone through the online registration. A number of people seemed to have skipped the event (including my friends Phoebe and Jhan) and I wish they didn’t. It was worth it! Who gets to eat in a lot of restaurants (not cheap ones at that) for FREE!? XD

It was my first time in such event. It was nice going on an event full of bloggers. They’re all strangers to me though except for Karen *lol* I’m just glad my brother was there. ^_^V I have no social skills. I can’t bring myself to talk to other people. But during the tour I met a number of people there. Sorry, but except Karen. (It was very great to finally meet and talk to you personally!), I forgot everyone else’s names. *lol* If you’re one of those people I met, please post a comment! I’d like to view your blogs.

After signing in the sheet of participators, I got my paper bag of goodies! :D There were chocolates in it, a notepad, a folder with the schedule, and a movie ticket! I got to watch Sweeney Todd for FREE! No, wait, I paid 50 cents! It was supposedly only 25 cents, but my brother gave his free ticket to me. So… Yeah… 50 cents only! XD

First restaurant we went to is CYMA. The restaurant wasn’t fully prepared with the food, but what they served was worth the wait. They served Chicken Souvlaki, Spinach and Artichoke Fondue, Roasted Leg of Lamb, and Patisado Greek Osso Bucco. The lamb didn’t taste like I expected, but it was very good. The Patisado Greek Osso Bucco tops them all though (I could even eat it w/o the meat and just the sauce). I wanted to eat a lot of it, but we all know that pastas are heavy to the stomach. :P

Eating snacks on late nights (1 Comment)

Maybe I should say early mornings. ^^; Around 3-4AM I get hungry. Why am I still awake around that time? Well, that’s when I watch anime or read manga. Late nights are also the best time for me to study or do any serious work. I can concentrate without all the unnecessary noise. ^_^ Anyway, that isn’t the point of this post. It’s about snacks! Haha~

Green Tea Mini CrispyOut of the package

Two nights ago, I had 2 Green Tea Mini Crispies. Tita Anne bought them in HK. Of course, she didn’t give only two, but one plastic full of it. I only took one, but my Mom said to get one more because it’s too light, hence, it doesn’t seem filling. ^^;

By 2:30AM, I prepared a cup of (Stassen) peppermint tea (their chamomile tea tastes better) and waited til I could sip a bit before taking a bite of this kind of sweet-looking snack.

Drinking teaEating a Green Tea Mini Crispy

I was disappointed. XP It didn’t make go, “OMG, I WANT MORE!” It was okay and doesn’t taste like green tea. It tastes like polvoron. I guess the yellow with caramel-like syrup on top was there to make it taste different than a polvoron, but it didn’t help. It was bland. Haha~

In the end, I only enjoyed the tea. ^_^; Oh, if you read the article on chamomile tea, I think peppermint tea (or any kind of tea) is good to drink when you have menstrual cramps. It was my first day, so the pain was awful… Drinking the tea made the pain go away. ^_^

Some recent pics of me:

Gawd, I hate my nose. I’m thinking of getting a nose surgery when I get the money for it, but… I don’t know. I might change my mind in the future. XD So far, only my parents made fun of my nose.

o_o It’s almost 5:30AM now. I still am not sleepy. Haha~ This is probably because I haven’t gone out these past 2 days. ^^; Yesterday, I spent the whole afternoon until 1:30AM editing and sorting my mp3 albums so I could burn them. I’m running out of disk space as usual. Then I’m downloading Bambino since yesterday too. I can’t wait to burn this, so I could start downloading other anime and dramas again. X_X I need a 1TB hd. Other than that, I managed to remove some stuff from my bed. I also had my li’l table cleaned to put some of my school notes and books on. Once I’m done with cleaning my room, I will start doing the 36 Moon’s character pages on Lez’s request. :D

Well, I should queue some downloads then go to bed. ^^;
