Dinners and beer :3 – Part 2/2 (2 Comments)
Last Feb. 6, Coffee Break Island had a gig in Penguin Bar. Brother was game to it when I told him the gig was due to Bob Marley’s birthday. 
Before that though, I spent some time alone Power Plant — browsed for books at Fully Booked, looked for Keroro plamos at toyshops, and had tea at CBTL. A salesman in a toyshop was goofing around. He accidentally hit me with his whole body (can’t describe it right, sorry). I got so pissed that I elbowed him. That wasn’t really my day. ~_~ Anyway, back to the gig, brother and I left at 10PM. We got a bit lost since it’s been years since we’ve set foot on that area. I was worn out when we arrived in Penguin Bar. I was starting to feel sick, but I tried to ignore the feeling. We had ice-cold beer which I lost count of and nachos which totaled to PhP350 only. *rofl* I was too lazy to compute our bill, yet I did see the waitress made a mistake in charging us with a beer we didn’t order.

There were lots of foreigners, some ganguro, ladies looking out of place (like they were going to a debut), and cool girls who drank beer with their guy friends/boyfriends. SomeONE that night made me want to puke. I was in front of the washroom waiting for my turn. Girls take forever, don’t they? *lol* As if I’m not a girl. XD; While I was standing impatiently, I felt a hand on my shoulder. This hand then rubbed my arm. I turned around to see a very tall, smiling gaijin. O_O I was shocked. He walked in front of me and flashed another smile. What he did brought back bad memories when I was young, so I felt sicker than I already did.

CBI started their uber long set around 12MN. XD; Gad, am I a super fan of their bassist!
The crowd kept blocking my view of him, but I was too weak to even bother with them. Just before brother and I left, we got to talk with Jun who’s the drummer of CBI. He introduced us to the other band members. Awesomesauce.More pictures from the gig are uploaded here. :3 Come Sunday that same weekend, Phoebe and I met up for drinks in CBTL. We’re getting old that we only drink coffee or tea. Haha~ (Also, I was effin’ sick so any liquor or alcohol won’t do me any good.)

Next dinner out was still with Phoebe at Kabisera right after I watched He’s Just Not That Into You. The movie was so-so. What annoyed me were the people in the theater. I made sure to sit somewhere far from where the people/couples are. But, eventually, I was surrounded with couples effin’ holding hands. Show respect to the loners. GRRRR~

Hmm, so far that’s that. Oh yeah, I had dinner with Jaja in Sbarro Glorietta 5 last week. I treated her to blueberry cheesecake
Somebody invited me out for dinner, but I had to decline because I looked extremely wasted that night. I also can’t break my promise to Jaja. ^^ Unfortunately, those guys went to the same resto as we did. So much for ‘hiding.’ XDDD;

Mash It Up! gig + busy, busy week (1 Comment)
I have so much to blog about, but I won’t talk about them in just one post (this might up 100 pages long or even longer).
We had a practice before we headed to Bela Bar. We practiced 3 songs; songs that we weren’t sure if we’ll add to our playlist. We had to just in case. ^_^V We left later than we wanted to. Hil, the gig organizer, was asked me our whereabouts because we were asked to be there early for opening act. ^_^V Rain poured when we were halfway. That, the traffic, and our indecisiveness caused major delays. We arrived between 10-10:30PM — tired, sleepy, and I was in a bad mood because of a small fight w/ bf.

Anyway, Hil, the gig organizer, told us we can start setting up and doing sound checks. Commuting on a rainy night is tough, so we said that we wanna rest first. Also, we’d rather play right away instead of the pasikat moment. LOLz~ Then Hil offered us free Red Horse that mostly just went to waste. You’ll know later on. :/ Another band did the opening which is good news for us so we can prepare properly. I wrote down our line-up and tuned my guitar. The first band didn’t play long. We did our set-up duties that took us a while because the equipment weren’t that good. The guitar amp was wonky. Setting the volume at 1 already sets the amp at full blast. ~_~

First song = disastrous! The bass amp Rayton used kept going off for more than half of the song. The audience was still nice to applaud us. The fucked up equipment killed our mood, but we continued. The guitar amp went wonky as well, similarly to Rayton’s bass amp. The sound will cut off at every strum I make. Specially on the solo part, I played like some wannabe n00b guitarist. ~_~ How embarrassing! It was also cold in the bar that my hands were freezing. That our first time to play for Bisikleta Productions and our performance sucked. I hope we get invited again, but not with the Oi! bands plox. ^_^V I have nothing against them. I just don’t like their pushing and pushing in a small dance floor that they accidentally hit our table. My beer went to waste because of their so-called dancing. ~_~ They were amusing though. I guess that kind of made up for the wasted beer. >_>
Contras at Bela Bar
I hardly remember the sequence of events that night. I think it was after one of Contras’ songs that the bar owner went to the dancefloor. He told the audience that the dancefloor isn’t that big, so they should go easy on the _dancing_. He even had a gun tucked in his pants. D: Those in the dancefloor didn’t move a bit when they saw a gun. I expected them to behave, but nuuuuu~ They knocked our table a lot of times. One big man accidentally pushed the bar owner as well. The very pissed bar owner took out his gun and pointed it to the big man. Most of the customers went out while we still sat there. Aside from “guns blazing,” a “clash of knives” also happened. *rofl* I was actually clueless. I also wanted to join in their riot because no one replaced my beer. >_< We got home around 3AM and very much amused by the events. XD; Hil apologized to me the following day, but not for the beer. Yeah, I still have an “anger hang-over” from that.
Whew, that’s one blog topic done. ^_^V Climate change papers kept me from blogging. I had to do a quick research about climate change, Makati’s adaptation and mitigation process on it, and contributions for the Mayor’s speech for the World Bank CC program. I had to work on a Saturday night with no extra pay. Only free dinner from boss. I remember there were about 10 speeches made from different people and offices. The final speech was like a combined force. D: I asked help form the WB Manila folks to check it. I’m afraid it’s full of fail, but boss said that we got a good response from the Mayor’s presentation. I wonder if he presented the WB-edited speech.

What happened to Shabby (0 Comments)
It feels like months since the last time I posted here. Well, I mean a decent post. All I’ve been doing lately is plugging sites. ^_^V
We had our defense last Friday. The panelists suddenly posted the schedule either the night before or that morning. We were hardly prepared for it. DAMN THEM! I went to school in a hurry because we had a band practice scheduled that afternoon. Our schedule was broken because of that damn defense. I was worried the panelists would hardly understand the idea of our thesis which happened in the end. One of the panelists who’s not even an engineer and the dean’s secretary started throwing questions at us without letting us finish our presentation. I was very, very pissed that I could hardly find the right words to fight back at her. That was kind of good because our thesis might end up rejected if I did. XP I apologize to Mac for semi-venting my anger on him and to my bandmates too. ^^; So, yeah, we had a gig last Saturday at Greenvine Bar, Malate. It’s too bad none of my friends came (yes, NONE!). Only Rolly, Randy, and Jackie’s friend and cousin watched. Oh, Jozen was there, but I didn’t invite him. He doesn’t count. *lol* His bandmates were there, so that’s why. Very much thanks to Rolly for taking pictures of us! I should have taught you how to record a video with the digicam. Haha~ But the pictures were extremely good. I will have to sort through them though before I upload. :sing:
The following day, Phoebe contacted me about the news of Princess’ sister, Venus, who just died that weekend. It was shocking, very shocking news. Venus is only 3 years older than me. I met and knew of her back in high school because she also attended the same school as her sister and I. She’s very cute and she looks so sweet. Thinking back on our high school days, it’s hard to believe that in just a few years this happened. She’s still so young. ;_;
I know we know this already, but I want to reiterate… We always have to live fully everyday. We should enjoy the things we have because we don’t know when our time’s up. Take care also of your health, everyone.
We had problems with our internet connection last Monday. It started around 2AM. The connection fluctuated twice until we were totally disconnected. I was in a hurry downloading stuff. I think Globe only let me finish tweaking most of the Blast’s site before they cut it off. I called their customer service the following morning. There was a record about having internet problems in the Makati area. I messaged Jhan since she lives in Makati and also a Globe subscriber. She said they didn’t have problems. GRRR~ >_< Connection came back after a day. I was about to leave then for the dentist. I also had the laptop ready because I needed to do work and research. Plans changed again because of that. My scheduled plans always break for these kind of things. ~_~ Oh, my dentist visit is for the continuation of my root canal. I don’t know how many ‘things’ (sorry, I don’t know what they’re called) they placed on my tooth. My tooth was really dead as I felt nothing at first. It only hurt when they accidentally hit something. Probably a nerve or my gums. *shrugs*

I started the day by going to mass with my Dad. My mom had a patient and Maru was still sleeping. The mass was kind of funny because the people were a bit noisy, there were a lot of kids, and the priest could hardly be heard (he sounded like he was talking gibberish). Mac arrived around 2PM with a gift! YES! An uber cute and very soft stuffed toy panda. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Its name is WU-WOO (the name of the post *lol*). I also received a gift from my mom. She had my old art-on-a-white-shirt framed.
Seeing it brought back a lot of good memories of attending art classes in DBTI with Karen. ^_^ The first to arrive were Braggy and a percussionist Braggy invited over who had a girl friend with him. I think their names are Jojo (the percusionist) and Jill. Then Rayton arrived. We had lumpia, fries, and beer. Weird combination. ^_^V We had a little jamming and practice. Around 6, the girls and Bryce arrived. Phoebe surprised me with a cake! :DDD Yep, it’s Phoebe and Jhan who gave me that delicious cake (see last picture from the set above). :9 Dinner was served around 7:30PM maybe. There were lots of food and deserts. *lol* After dinner, we had another round of jamming that totally drained me and my brother. :sing:
The night was good. I missed the videoke.
*lol* But that can be done next time. Pang-trip lang siguro namin ng mga gurlsss. Thanks to my friends who came/dropped by. I feel special. ^_^V I really appreciate it. I’m going to end this post with another heart. *lol* –> ♥

Yoroshiku’s kind of taking their time subbing Shounen Onmyouji. I just finished watching episode 15 which is the latest subbed episode from the group. :/ I want more. Mokkun is way cute. If you haven’t seen Shounen Onmyouji yet. You SHOULD while we wait for Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. *lol*
I played FFXII earlier. I’m already in Feywood. My characters seem more powerful than the last time I tried to pass through Feywood. XD; The foes are dead in 2 strikes? Haha~ Wth.

Goodness, my legs are killing me. ~_~ Maru and I went to meet up with Mac to accompany us to a game shop. Maru wants our PS2 cleaned there because Mac and I knew that it only costs Php400 there. Then when we asked the guy in the shop how much the cleaning costs, he said it’s Php550. WTF… We went all the way there just for a price similar as the game shop in Glorietta, Makati that Maru and I frequent to. Grrr~ Mac told the guy about the price we know of. He said they haven’t gone that low. My brother was okay with it because we’re there already. There were no other game shops even. The guy then said we could pick up the item by 6PM. WTH. So we went to Glorietta, had it cleaned there, but we were asked to come back by 7PM. Another WTH. ~_~ Maru decided we’ll just pick it up later (or tomorrow at the time they were discussing it). I hope they did it yesterday because I don’t have much time to wait tomorrow. I got class by 6PM, man.
I had 2 beers earlier. Heh~ Just when I commented on one of Kara’s posts that I haven’t been drinking beer lately. XD; Braggy, a friend of my Dad, came over for a jamming. My Dad bought a few bottles of San Miguel Light. I drank a bottle during the jamming and another a few hours earlier. I wanted to get rid of the bagoong taste in my mouth. (We had kare-kare for dinner.) *bah* They made me sing Yesterday Once More (the remake; I forgot what band did it) and Manila by Hotdog. I love that Manila song. Hahaha~ ♥
Oh, we had our first quiz in Water Supply last Thursday. There were so many to read. I was unsure if I had to memorize everything that could be given in an enumeration because this is the first time I have a subject under Engr. Quizon. X_X I read my notes almost or more than 10x. The quiz was easy! Haha~ But I’m sure I still have some mistakes. I made up some stuff asked in the essay part. I hope I got the gist of what was asked. ^^;;; Other school matters — we had no lectures for 2 days (Wed. and Friday) in Advanced Water Supply. Hydrology professor was also absent last Friday. We think he also went to the seminar in Subic. *bah* I even hurried to school for the assignment and Mark’s notes… Tsk. Good things happening for me lately. Though I shouldn’t be totally happy about it because a good friend’s been having it bad recently.

Sorry, Jhan. It’s the truth. I don’t him well to say these things. I’m basing these on what you and Phoebe told me before… Anyway, these are the things he has proven himself. I’m not going to take back the things I’ll be saying now… Because I feel you. I’ve been through that, but not as much as you did. Because, fortunately, I’ve gotten him to understand me. *pats* Jason is an asshole for not giving you respect for your feelings. For not knowing that his actions could hurt you and your relationship. For not realizing his mistakes. For being dependent to his friends. He should listen to you even though he’s beyond reason. You are supposed to be his special girl. Isn’t it normal that you put priority in the person you love than yourself? Why is it different with him, right? *sighs* You’ve done enough, Jhan… He just doesn’t see that you’re only showing how much you love him. If he can’t accept you, the things you do, and even his mistakes… What does that make of him? You’ve gone as far as saying sorry for mistakes you didn’t even commit. You know it’s okay to do that because you love him. Nothing matters anymore except him, right? Like I said, he doesn’t understand… You deserve someone better, Jhan. Why don’t you see if that Marco guy is okay? ^_~ Cheer up! We’re here for you…
