Larry reminded me about the Soir?e Beaujolais I went to last year because of his Richard Guttierez (sp?) microblog. XD;
The Soir?e Beaujolais is a French event held every year. Last November, 18, 2010, it was held in Manila Hotel. I like going to this event as it is a reason for me to dress up and, in spite of the exorbitant ticket price, there is overflowing selection of wines, cheeses, and charcuterie. I’m not much of a fan of cheese, but I ♥ wine and salami.
Only Maru, Mum, and I went because the Dad was out of the country.
I wore a white
virgin dress with my bewbies almost popping out. AHAHAHA~ I kid. 🙂
There was a dance performance this year by who I assume are true French people. I don’t know if there was such performance at the previous Soir?e Beaujolais I went to, so I was pretty excited to see this.
Raffles are a usual in this event. Prizes are trips to Boracay and Paris and jewelries courtesy of Jewelmer. None of us won unfortunately. I remember there were two foreigners and a department head from my office who won. By 10PM, the first band to perform that night began to set up.
We had a picture with the singer of the first band. Maru knows of her while I don’t, but I still joined the picture. XD;
The night would have really rocked if we had a picture with Pepe Smith, but this is all we could have with him:
We saw some celebrities (like that Richard Gutierrez) and a number of pretty ladies including her who needs to be named:
Mum saw two people my Dad has worked with.
Bruno’s the first guy I have met who asked permission if he could kiss me. *blush*
Time really flew fast as we stalked ladies, watched the crowd dance, and drank a lot of wine. The food disappeared quickly too. I didn’t get to eat much of the dessert and the cake that Roger wanted us to try. Tsk, tsk~ If there will be a Soir?e Beaujolais this year, I hope I will have the funds for it then bring Marsha along. Haha~
See my Flickr set for all the pictures from this event.
