SMS scam and spam

I know I should post something that’s for good vibes to start the work week right, but I’ve delayed this for so long that I almost forgot about it. I mean, I still receive a lot. I just had better things to do or better blog posts to put up. 😛 But since I’m receiving many again, here is my post.

One of the popular kind of hoax messages

There are many ways people would rip other people off through sms such as seemingly posing as a message from the telco, informing the recipient they have been charged with PhP300, and refunding would be through sending an sms code which is actually for sending load. I’ve heard people getting fooled by this. I hate to say, but have they been living under a rock? Ugh. Eventually, scammers revised their scam messages to something like this:

Besides those, I get tons of loan offers.

People offering me loans: Please stop. Are you making me poor? Paying for my CCs are enough to suck my wallet dry. 😐

I also receive credit card offers specifically for EASTWEST Bank. In my previous work, they wouldn’t stop calling the office just to offer me a credit card without consideration for where they’re even calling.

There are also messages from people who are politically involved including below though I have no idea who he is.

There are also those offering condos for ‘cheap.’

It’s annoying when I have to hurriedly check my phone for incoming messages only to find spam. Whoever started this, whoever has been selling numbers… You will get bad karma. (This is me still being nice.)

Here’s just a part of what I’ve received since last year.
