Shell with the first Volvo LPG trucks in the country

I feel bad that I only got to post this now (after more than a year!). Well, I’m still sharing because of the ladies from this event. XDDD

Shell Gas (LPG) Philippines, last June 14, 2011, launched their new fleet of Volvo Trucks. The launching was held at One Esplanade, SM Business Park, Pasay City. I was excited for this event because it involves trucks AND it’s Volvo. XD

Joiz and I were invited as, uhm, media guests. I remember we were asked to fill up the registration form for non-media folks. I asked if that’s where we really should sign. The girl on the registration goes, “Yeah.” So I put in from what office I am, etc. then when the program started, they mention about having a guest from an LGU. *facepalms* Maybe there were others. *shrugs* But I was glad they didn’t call on us because I was in shirt and shorts. The dress code for the event was supposed to be business/semi-formal and we weren’t aware.

Anyway, Mr. Ramon del Rosario, General Manager of Shell Gas (LPG) Philippines was called on stage for his welcome remarks.

I forgot who the foreign-looking man is. 😛

Pressing the red button (which reminded me of Looney Tunes) kick-started the launching (or the surprise for the guests). Girls in black tights went on stage again, but with a short Mission Impossible-like dance of some sorts.

A toast among, I’m guessing, the big peoples of Shell Gas (LPG) Phils., Civic Merchandising, Volvo, and MAC Movers.

Cocktails resumed and us guests took this the opportunity to see the truck up close.

One reason why I wanted to sit inside was for the a/c. LOL

I want to own one of those trucks. I could use it for city driving. ROFL XDDD My excitement was too obvious it seems. The guy in pink told me as soon as I got on the driver’s seat not to step on the gas.

The new Volvo FM Truck leverages on the traditional trademark of safety and unparalleled technology from global brand Volvo.

Volvo FM Trucks have the capability to stand up to heavy loads, rough terrain and challenging inclines. This heavy-duty vehicle is built for protection not only for the driver and passenger, but for other vehicles on the road. It is the first vehicle to be used in the Philippines for the transport of liquified petroleum gas (LPG).
