The sun was already rising last Saturday when I decided to get some shuteye. I woke up around 10AM. I watched a few episodes of One Piece, went through my finances, and headed to Phoebe’s place. Funny that the security guard in her place doesn’t know her. He looked clueless when I looked for her. When I called her up to tell her about it & to ask what floor she is, the guard suddenly denied it. XD;
We hung out for a while at her place because she was still uploading photos to Facebook. I also got my pasalubong. 😀 We did a quick visit to SM Bicutan to get her eyeglasses before our early dinner with Jan. SM Bicutan seemed different from the last time I went there. Maybe I just don’t remember that place anymore.
We wanted Japanese, but we were low on budget. So we ended up in Kitaro. Food there costs a li’l bit lesser than Isshin. ^^; My usual order, that is. Then we headed to Casa Marcos to try the Ice Cream Pandesal and have drinks.
Phoebe had to leave early, so Jan and I did something that you probably wouldn’t just do out of whim. 😛
Yes, we went to the 2NE1: The Party because we couldn’t think of what else to do. FYI, WE’RE NOT FANS. I haven’t been a K-pop fan for so long ever since H.O.T disbanded and Shinhwa followed shortly. It was hard to keep up with the scene. I also didn’t like there were a number of kiddie boy groups coming out. If I were still a K-pop fan and have a liking for 2NE1, I would definitely be screaming my lungs out like the fans in the concert. But I’m not, so define CULTURE SHOCK. LOL
Philippine All-Stars was one of the front acts
We arrived a few minutes past 9PM. We saw a performance by the Philippine All-Stars which I’m glad we were able to catch before the Korean girls came out. The concert finished around 10PM. We waited for the crowd to lessen before we headed out, but a security shooed as away. WTF. ~_~
The crowd asked for more, but they quickly gave up and left the coliseum. 2NE1 seemed to have performed about 7 or 8 songs, but seemed like they performed for only 30 minutes. Jan and I were amused, but disappointed. We’re not even fans! Well, it’s our fault for purposely going late. 😛
Before we called it a night, we spent an hour or two in Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Greenbelt 3 surrounded by guys and girls who tried so hard with their English. Probably practicing for something. Still, it was irritating as they were speaking so loud.
I was so tired when I got home, but I played Rage for a bit before I slept. I had to wake up two hours later though for a mass with the family. I could hardly keep my eyes open during the mass. =_= I slept right after breakfast and woke up in the late afternoon… To have myself disappointed. Sheesh~ It was bad enough that I didn’t get to join Joiz’s lunch picnic. The weekend isn’t complete without tears. >_> But the weekend wasn’t that bad. It started out good actually on early Saturday morning. Although the time was so short, it’s still something to be thankful for. I’m thankful for the company of friends and for Bim who gave free VIP tickets to the 2NE1 gig with the help of his sister.
