Thoughts on SaladStop!

If memory serves me right, SaladStop! opened some time between the 3rd and 4th quarter of 2015. I’ve been wanting to try them, but most of my friends often craved for something else. ^^;;; Yesterday, I was deteremined to go to their Glorietta branch even if it meant quite a walk from my office.

They have a good range of salads to choose from. There’s also an option to make your own. I wanted to make my own, but I thought I might not enjoy it and generally dislike the restaurant, which would be unfair. So, I chose the Man-Go WILD salad because I want mangoes to refresh my body after the walk.

Its ingredients are romaine, cucumber, carrots, green mango, red onion, white turnip, yellow raisins, fried garlic, mint leaf, mango vinaigrette. It also has crab sticks. The salad has almost all that I like even the fried garlic. πŸ™‚ But I think it needs more mint leaves or maybe they did mean only one since it is just ‘mint leaf’ on the menu. πŸ˜›

The serving is reasonable; more than I expected for its price. I wans’t able to finish the whole bowl. I think I could include a salad from them once or twice a week in my diet since a bowl could last me a lunch and an afternoon snack.

The boyfriend had the Cobb Salad Wrap with romaine, grilled chicken, cheddar cheese, egg avocado, cherry tomatoes, red onions, bacon bits, and ranch dressing. I tried it too and it’s also good. Heavier, for obvious reasons. This (and probably other wraps) can be a good choice for those who think salads aren’t enough to fill their stomach.

I’m definitelyl coming back. I want to try more from their menu and probably experiment my own salad. πŸ™‚
