Manila Art Fair 2011

Manila Art Fair is in its third year. It’s the first time I’ve been to this event. Thanks so much to Ryan for extending his extra invite to me. Thank goodness there was a meeting outside the office that ended a little early. I was able to meet up early with Ryan who seemed excited. LOL It was rather unplanned for me, so I didn’t bring a camera. Please excuse the quality of the shots. :3

Pogi-est I’ve seen in the art fair 😛

I went with no expectations as I had no idea what to see or how the event would be, but I was impressed. I saw a variety of artworks that didn’t make me think, “Wtf, I can do that too.”

As Ryan and I enjoyed the hors d’oeuvre and my glassES of wine later that evening, there was a short program to introduce the people behind the art fair and welcome all the guests.

The group/company (so sorry I forgot the name) that gave Ryan invites also gave each of us guests a box of very yummy Custaroons by Gigi Gaerlan.

Going to the art fair made me miss my days of drawing and painting. I wish I took my art classes more seriously when I was younger. It was only during my art classes that I made original art, but the rest I did then and after were “fanart.” I’m better at that. I have some new art materials and found stuff I want draw and maybe paint. I need to squeeze in time for that. I should lessen my time ogling at girls. 😛
