Definitely worth rushing to *lol* ;D (4 Comments)

Italianni’s Bloggers Event
Catch the “EXTRA” Experience!!!

Good thing I woke up early last June 17. I was getting my to-do list done in the morning before I had to meet-up with bf. I checked my cp around 10:30AM (it’s always on silent-mode) and read a message from YEHEY regarding the blog event of Italianni’s. Very surprised, I asked if I really made it in the cut because I didn’t receive any email. Since I submitted my registration, I kept checking my email almost every minute and even my spam folder, but still nothing. The reminder really surprised me. So Mac and I had to rush. ^_^V

The registration was 11AM, but we arrived 12:30PM. Talk about super late! Fortunately they just started so it was cool. I think we only missed 1-2 dishes.

Other bloggers and their _extras_ XD
Other bloggers; some with their “extras” ^_^

Iggy, a fellow-blogger, is very welcoming and quickly passed the food to us as Mac and I took our seats. Italianni’s served a lot of food — chicken salad, different fish dishes, steak, desserts, shooters, etc. I never got to list down the names of everything I ate. Too busy eating and trying to take pictures. *lol*

Mac and I werent’t given plates right away, so this is what we ate first:

Garlic breads + a spread
Garlic breads + a spread

The spread tasted a bit of garlic and cheese. This is delicious. I could have eaten a lot of this if it were possible. I just didn’t want to because there were still a lot to eat. ^_^

Chicken salad

Italianni’s chicken salad tastes better than their Caesar salad. The Caesar salad is my family’s favorite. We order it whenever we go to a restaurant that has it on their menu. So, yeah, we have tasted their Caesar salad. The chicken salad is a lot better; it has more dressing too. The croutons are fresh that makes not hard to eat for a metal-mouth like me. XDDD Fufu~ I like croutons. :D

As far as I remember, they served 3 different kinds of fish dishes. I only got to take pictures of two:

Grilled fish?

Fish fillet

The grilled fish is delicious! You should definitely order that when you eat at Italianni’s. ^_^ I think it’s the sauce. It’s slightly spicy. The fish, I’m thinking it’s salmon, was cooked well. After finishing the slice, I wanted to get more, but I couldn’t find it anymore. XD I’m guessing it’s a big hit. This porkchop too:

Porkchop

That’s just super yummy. Super duper yummy! HAHAHAH~ XDDD

Calamari

Fried Calamari (or calamares) is one of my favorite foods. It’s one of those must-order when going out for a beer or two. *lol* Anyway, their calamari isn’t chewable like a bubble gum. You know that the squid is fresh. :) I hate to admit, but some restos have bubble gum-like calamares. ~_~

Before I forget, here are the fruit shakes Mac and I had:

Strawberry shake
I ♥ strawberries. :D

Watermelon shake
It’s real watermelon and not artificially flavored

Time flew real fast. I don’t think it was even enough for us with all the food we had. @_@; The dessert went quick. We had several, but I only got to taste a few. We were on a long table. Passing food is a kinda tough. -_- Well, specially in that situation wherein most of us do not know each other. ^_^V

There was supposed to be ice cream on top of this. XD

The one on the left has just the right amount of sweetness. I like! :D

Grazie!

My favorite is the egg-like one. It isn’t super sweet. I was able to find out its name, but it’s one of those kinda hard to pronounce foods so the name didn’t stick to mind. *lol* My Dad ordered one of this recently, but w/ a blueberry sauce. Still delicious even though expensive. D: Other treats that we got are the baked mussels and shooters. There were pastas, I think, but me and Mac didn’t get to eat any. -_-

So that sums up my lunch at Italianni’s. I am so lucky I was able to make it. :D

Eat at Italianni’s and get an “extra” on the house. You won’t be able to request your extra. It’s a surprise! When we had a dinner there recently to celebrate my parents’ wedding anniversary, we got a free dessert. ^_^ Italianni’s has 12 branches — Greenbelt 2, Glorietta 4, SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, Greenhills, Tomas Morato, Eastwood City, Gateway, Alabang Town Center, Bonifacio High Street, Trinoma, & Robinson’s Midtown in Malate.

TriNoma Blogger FOOD TOUR (Part 2/2) (5 Comments)

Internet has been quite slow lately. XP Damn Globe. I should also ask for an upgrade that my Dad has been telling me to do. I keep forgetting. *sweatdrop*

Seeing the pictures again from the food tour is making me hungry. ~_~ Sobrang tagal na nito, pero last part na rin naman. Might as well finish it. XD This is the link to the first part, btw — http://www.hyukta.net/daily/20080124/trinoma-blogger-food-tour-part-12

It’s about time I finish my food tour post before everything else. :P If you haven’t read the first part of this, you can read it here. I left off with Italianni’s in that post. I hope I still remember what happened during that food tour. ^_^V

After Italianni’s, our next stop was Fish & Co. Just look at how delicious their food looks:

Oh wait, that’s me in the corner of the picture… Looking stupid. *lol* See pictures below:

At yung yummy-looking tahong! *drools*

The fish fillet was good. ^_^ I never got to taste the tahong, but my brother said it’s tasty. I wish I had one. :P I didn’t get to because they served it in front of their resto and there weren’t chairs except for huge plant boxes where other bloggers already sat. XP It was a bit hard to eat with a lot of stuff on my hand.

We went to the lower floor. I think it was the 3rd floor. Haiku was our first stop there. They had a pretty presentation of a seasoned sashimi and a salad. I don’t know what their names are. :|

They even prepared individual plates of this for us. \m/

The salad’s tasty, but there’s something about it that I didn’t like much. I think it was slightly salty or whatever seasoning they put there made me hardly taste the vegetables. Hmm…

Next stop is Hossein. Our stop there was a bit long. I don’t know if the other groups went there before us, but it seemed like we were the first group they served food to.

They served us of what’s mostly on the table except for the shake/juice.

The next restaurants we went to were just quick stops. There weren’t much time and the other groups were already done. I’d then usually be just near the entrance except for those restos who served iced tea or water. XD Walking around is tiring and it was extremely hot. I don’t think we got to visit half or more of the restaurants. *sighs* But it was fine as we were full. (I could still eat a few more though HAHAHHAHA~) ^_^

Madison
Madison

Ingredients :P
Madison didn’t serve us any food at all.

We weren’t the only group who complained about this. Even though most of us were full and only few might have tasted their food, they should have still served something. Why be a part of the food tour if you are just going to show us the food? What do they want us to say about them? Na madamot sila? ~_~ We quickly left. Most likely we’ve given an impression that their resto sucks. XDDD; Oh well, at least we’re lucky enough with that as others had an uglier experience at a different restaurant.

Abe
Pinoy food from Abe

We got a taste of Filipino from Abe. Finally, something different, but too common. Know what I mean? *lol* I hardly tasted any of the food. I wanted to try the rice though (bottom right) since it looks delicious. Also, I love rice and eggs. :9

The next restaurants we ate at are La Maison and Conti’s.

Food from La Maison
Food from La Maison

Mango cakeChoco cake
Conti’s cakes are just delicious! :9

La Maison’s food tasted great. I should ask my parents to eat there next time. As for Conti’s, they ran out of the food they served the food tour participants, but the lady who assisted us still gave us cakes. They were very, very delicious. We had a lot. Desserts are great after a looong~ meal. ^_~

Our group, with very few left, headed back to where everyone else was. There was a band performance and a contest that we missed. I had a little fight with Mac as well. He was acting like a kid. It upset me that he could hardly find patience for me. It made me wonder if he was hardly excited for me during the food tour. -_- We left when we got a bit bored. We toured around and then we went home by riding the bus. The MRT was already closed by the time we decided to leave. It was a good, filling day overall. We even got a lot of goodies including a free movie ticket which I used to watch Sweeney Todd — an awesome movie that’s even more so when watching it free! XDDD

More pictures are posted here. They’re also posted in my Facebook account (minus the captions).

I have mentioned nose surgery before. I think. @_@ Anyway, hope you guys don’t find it annoying that I will be posting about it again. ^_^ I have known a lot of people who have undergone nose surgery. I haven’t heard of any troubles, so I guess it’s a safe procedure unless you go to a surgeon who doesn’t look like he knows what he’s doing. *lol* I’d like to have a nose surgery if given the chance AND money. XD I’d like my nose to be a bit pointed. Haha~ Though I know someone who would be against the idea.

TriNoma Blogger FOOD TOUR (Part 1/2) (1 Comment)

It took me time to publish this post as it took me ages to edit all the pictures from the event as well as type this out. ~_~ I’m awfully busy and won’t be able to blog that much until my board exams are over! Wish me luck, guys! Anyway, I should start with my food tour post. :DDD This is going to be long because I like going into details. I know you hate long entries, but don’t close the window as there will be tons of food pictures that will (probably) make this post less boring. XD

I had some matters I attended to before I was able to go to the TriNoma Blogger Food Tour causing me to almost miss the event. -_- I was lucky I made it just on time before all the groups left. My brother was even luckier than I am since he was invited to join the food tour without having gone through the online registration. A number of people seemed to have skipped the event (including my friends Phoebe and Jhan) and I wish they didn’t. It was worth it! Who gets to eat in a lot of restaurants (not cheap ones at that) for FREE!? XD

It was my first time in such event. It was nice going on an event full of bloggers. They’re all strangers to me though except for Karen *lol* I’m just glad my brother was there. ^_^V I have no social skills. I can’t bring myself to talk to other people. But during the tour I met a number of people there. Sorry, but except Karen. (It was very great to finally meet and talk to you personally!), I forgot everyone else’s names. *lol* If you’re one of those people I met, please post a comment! I’d like to view your blogs.

After signing in the sheet of participators, I got my paper bag of goodies! :D There were chocolates in it, a notepad, a folder with the schedule, and a movie ticket! I got to watch Sweeney Todd for FREE! No, wait, I paid 50 cents! It was supposedly only 25 cents, but my brother gave his free ticket to me. So… Yeah… 50 cents only! XD

First restaurant we went to is CYMA. The restaurant wasn’t fully prepared with the food, but what they served was worth the wait. They served Chicken Souvlaki, Spinach and Artichoke Fondue, Roasted Leg of Lamb, and Patisado Greek Osso Bucco. The lamb didn’t taste like I expected, but it was very good. The Patisado Greek Osso Bucco tops them all though (I could even eat it w/o the meat and just the sauce). I wanted to eat a lot of it, but we all know that pastas are heavy to the stomach. :P

By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept by Paulo Coelho (Comments Off)

I also knew that from this moment on, I was going to experience heave and hell, joy and pain, dreams and hopelessness; that I would no longer be capable of containing the winds that blew from the hidden corners of my soul. I knew that from this moment on love woud be my guide — and that it had waited to lead me ever since childhood, when I had felt love for the first time. The truth is, I had never forgetten love even when it had deemed me unworthy of fighting for it. But love had been difficult and I had been reluctant to cross its frontiers.

This the first time I’ve read a book that is related to the Catholic faith except the Bible, of course. The book doesn’t merely concentrate on the 3 high beings we Catholics are aware of. It discusses about the feminine side of God — the Goddess — which could be the Virgin Mary or other female religious figures that other religions have. The female protagonist is torn between her love and her love’s strong faith. It was either he become a priest and share the gift he has or marry her and live a normal life. They were childhood friends and they haven’t seen each other for a very long time. She didn’t have any idea where he has gone to though they kept in touch by exchanging letters. It was hard for her to be with him at first, but, later on, she learned to accept him and tried to be open. As she did, she found out a lot about him. Instead of being greedy of wanting him all to herself, she decided it was best for him not to leave his seminary and continue spreading the gift… But she still didn’t want to lose him.

They made a very good decision in the end. If you want to know, you should read the book.

There were parts that barely made sense to me. Some I just had to skip. I was more interested of knowing what will happen to the two; what decision will they make. This book is really worth reading. I would have to see the other books written by the same author. ^_^ Since this so-called “review” is just plain nonsense, I suggest you head over to — http://bookreviews.nabou.com/reviews/bytheriverpiedra.html — as it has a good review about the book that you’ll be tempted to buy it.

FF8 kink and smut fics (Comments Off)

Scarlet Seduction has a good collection of FF8 fics. I only read those with NC-17 content, but not all of them. The titles I read:
Submission by dragons78061
Lonely Together by Krystal Epyon
For Keeps by Garden’s Gnome
Laundry Hamper by Clueless Psycho
Tension Relief by Moonriddler Mim
Morning Ritual by Keishi

Laundry Hamper’s ending just… Uhhh… Sucked. I was already enjoying how Squall was _not_ being OOC. Clueless Psycho ruined the fic by turning Squall into a girly slut in the end. *bleh*

To the Winner 2.6 by Garden’s Gnome

I’ve read too much IrvinexSquall and SquallxIrvine that SeiferxSquall doesn’t appeal to me anymore. I think had a liking to them before. Heh~ Blame Scarlet Seduction. XD

More ficcies:
Cowboys and Cream by Garden’s Gnome
I Know a Movie Star by Wandering Tonberry
Love of Ice by ChangingTimes
