Godot! And One Luv gig + garage sale (Comments Off)

Oh, I read something about a CC fraud in another blog. Haven’t encountered this and I doubt I will, but for those who might be likely targeted, please read.

I got lazy again to plug… And got busy with other things too like PLURK and GYAKUTEN SAIBAN 3. I ♥ DIEGO ARMANDO! I can’t help, but look at his pants in the picture on the left. XDDD Aah~ My 2d list of crushes is very long now. XDDD Anyway, time to recap what has been going on with me lately. I’ll try my best to skip the boring ones. *lol*

June 13 — Friday the 13th — the night of our gig at One Luv. ^_^ We had a hard time commuting. :/ It took us almost an hour to wait for a ride. There were hardly any jeep nor taxi. We were so tired as soon as we got to One Luv. Damn far place. I wish they would move closer… Somewhere in Makati would be better. At least we won’t be worrying about paying for tolls. HAHAHA~ XD J/k!

It was already about 10:30PM when we arrived and there weren’t many people in the bar. The show started with 137 JAZZ TRIO w/ MANG KANO. I think they played for more than an hour. I remember falling asleep in the middle because we sat at the darkest area of the bar. It’s like sleeping in the bedroom with the lights off… Except for the noise. ^^; Yeah, I can sleep even when it’s noisy. I think 2 more band played before us. During the second song of the band before us, the electricity fluctuated. *lol* A few seconds later, the electricity totally went out. That was only for a minute though. It was funny hearing the drummer suddenly playing by himself. XDDD I guess the ghosts near the cemetery got annoyed. *lol*

Then we played. My heart wasn’t fully into it. I got mad at our trumpet player, EJ, for not showing up at the last minute. He said his girlfriend is at the hospital. I do remember him telling that his gf is due sometime this month. But, well… I don’t know… I find it hard to believe since he did that to us before — not showing up at the last minute and having a bajillion reasons for not going to practices. I’m tired of him and his excuses. I told my bf he’ll be in charge of contacting him should there be a need. Peace Pipe played after. We stayed until their 3rd song and we left. That was almost 2AM.

The morning of June 14, my parents woke me up early because we’ll be having a garage sale again in my Tita’s place in Merville. I wasn’t in a good mood due to the lack of sleep. There were so many people in my Tita’s garage when we got there. We didn’t know where to place our stuff anymore. I kept quiet most of the time, watched the people look at the stuff my Tita was selling, and looked after our things. I’m sure there would be people stealing and stuffing their pockets with the small stuff.

Some people noticed me looking ultimately pissed. They said the others should move, so we can start our display. No one moved though… Even those people who said so. >_> Then when my Dad opened the box full of bags, we didn’t get to display them properly and be able to watch over them. They surrounded the box. At first, even though I was pissed, I was polite enough and even said “Excuse me” to handle things since my parents seem to have given up. But they didn’t budge. I tried to shove them away. That still didn’t help, so I shouted at them. That’s only when they gave way.

The problem didn’t stop there. When almost everyone left, we noticed there were some stuff missing. *sighs* That’s why I made a post about thieves here. It’s really hard to deal with uneducated people. >_<

I was supposed to go the Toycon the day after, but I was up all night playing Gyakuten Saiban. I ended up sleeping the whole afternoon. ^_^V I so wanted to take pictures of cosplayers. Ugh~ I also missed the WEWY Mingle session. -_-

Anyway, will have to end this here for now. I have to eat lunch then go to Glorietta, and have my Dad’s friend’s Nokia cellphone fixed.

DS questions again! (2 Comments)

If you read Nintendo’s FAQs, you will see there that they do NOT recommend screen protectors. I also didn’t even think of buying those. Recently, I checked my screen and noticed 3 small scratches on the touch screen. They can only be seen like when the unit is off. Now I’m thinking of buying a screen protector. Playing WEWY is too rough for my Cerveza Negra DS Lite. -_-

1. Do you think a screen protector will cover up the minimal scratches even at the slightest?
2. Do you strongly suggest I get a screen protector?
3. What brand should I buy? I’m thinking of something cheap yet is of very good quality, will not leave sticky residues on the screen, will not have bubbles, and will not create more (even small) scratches.

Here are my options though I’m not sure if they’re all available here. I think I may have seen HORI ones here yet I’ve read there are fake ones of it.

Liquid Crystal Filter
Protection Filter
invisibleSHIELD
Bestskinsever

Nintendo should release a DS with scratch-proof touch screens. I’m feeling low just because of these scratches. I know they’re normal with a console like the DS, but… But… ;_;

On other news, the pink DS Lite I have here is finally sold! I wanted to keep it because with its color, fingerprints are hardly noticeable and it’s so cute. XD Also, it looks smaller than my Cerveza Negra. :P Anyway, answers please! I plan on buying tomorrow. XDDD I can’t keep myself from playing for more than a day. D:

Lomomanila on Sunday Inquirer Magazine
Lomomanila on Sunday Inquirer Mag
(Pic taken from renelmacapagal

Woo-hoo! Congrats, Lomomanila! :D Astig! Too bad I wasn’t able to join them. I was too busy that time and kinda unaware of the schedule of events. -_- Next time I’ll be sure to join… I did get to join the Lomomanila party though. I wonder what happened to the shots before the Lomo party. O_o?

Much has happened last week that it felt like 2 weeks passed. Two Sundays ago (May 18, right?), my boyfriend and I watched Iron Man. ♥ Seeing Robert Downey Jr. gave me an orgasm. *roflmao* J/k! Seriously though, not only is he an eye-candy, the movie is overall great. I can watch it a lot of times and never get tired of it. *sighs* RDJ is ♥. *_* Gwyneth is also something in the movie. I can’t run on high stilettos. :P And… Samuel L. Jackson… He looks cool with an eyepatch. XDDD Even though I badly had to go the washroom, I waited for his appearance after the credits.

The following day, Mac and I were supposed to go to Harrison Plaza to look for a flash cartridge for my DS Lite. Hmm, seems I haven’t given my toy a name. O_o Anyway, all the shops there were selling it about a thousand Pesos more than the stalls Goldcrest. So, in spite of the traffic, we went to Goldcrest and got me a discounted DSTT. XDDD It can read micro SD cards of more than 4GB, so I’m happy with it. ^_^ Then I went to CD-R King to buy a Kingston micro SD card with MS PRO DUO adapter. It’s a bit more expensive than with the micro SD’s usual adapter, but I want to try with my PSP. Cheaper alternative plus Sony mem-sticks seem to easily defunct. :/ Hopefully it works. XD I haven’t done much with the DSTT yet except put some games. Now I have my DS Lite almost all the time with me. :D

When I was still canvassing for n5 and DSTT some time ago, I came across a shop with a saleslady offering the DSTT for only PhP200. O_O Here’s how our conversation went:

Me: Excuse me. How much is the DSTT?
Saleslady: Uhhh… *gets said item* It’s PhP250, but I’ll give it to you at PhP200. Bilhin niyo na po para may benta na kami. (She’s telling me to buy the item already since they haven’t sold anything yet for the day. It was already 7PM then.)
Me: Huh??? *surprised* Talagang PhP200 lang? (English: It’s really ony Php200?)

I checked the box and saw the tag price — PhP2500. How can she miss the last 0? O_o Mac was giving me the look to buy it. But I would really feel bad if I did just because of the saleslady’s stupidity. Then I went to the other part of the store and left Mac to deal with the saleslady. I heard Mac say he would get 2. Then another saleslady went to them and asked the other how much she priced the DSTT. The other tells her offer then she got scolded. This saleslady then tells Mac it’s PhP2500 and not PhP200 nor PhP250. *lol*

Latest DA additions:

Those pictures were taken after the Makati City Grand Parade last May 9. My boyfriend and I arrived late because we didn’t know where exactly the parade will start nor where the stage is. We kept arguing almost the whole afternoon too. ~_~ I was very tired (that was the time where we didn’t have any helpers at home) and he barely cared even if I already started having foot cramps. Ugh~ XP Oh well, I’m glad I was able to take good picture with my ol’ 4MP digicam. *lol* I also used my Holga, but only took 2-3 shots with it. Mac used my PhP50 Vivitar IC100. I hope a few will come out.

Then Saturday I went to the hospital for a complete fasting blood test, ECG, and urine test. Makati Med seems very disorganized now. I don’t remember having to fall in line along the corridor while waiting for the retraction. The prices have gone insanely up either. -_- I’ll be getting the results in all tests later. I could have gotten them last Tuesday, but I got my hands full lately.

Pluggings (with some sites I unsubscribed from my Google Reader :|):
Catwalk Queen — because I had a slight interest with fashion + entertainment @_@;
Pursebuzz.com — mostly makeup reviews and info on where to get cosmetics on sale XD
YouTomb — tracks videos removed from YouTube

I wonder when my Google Reader subscriptions will become less than 10. *lol*

I had a doggies dream ^^ + dA plugs (Comments Off)

I wasted time reading The Superficial blog again. ~_~ *sighs* Even though I enjoy the jokes, sarcasm, and other shit there, I had to remove their feed from my Google Reader.

This kind of video shouldn’t be uploaded anymore. Especially in YOUTUBE. Gawd! X_X *coughs* Moving on…

It’s still May, but I guess the rainy season started early. May’s still part of the summer season, right? O_o The weather is unbelievable. *sighs* Also, all the calamities happening in different countries is a sign… For us to be good people! >_> I kid. I’m in no position to say that. Saddening how one tragedy comes after another. *shakes head*

I’m finally (sorta) free from household chores! *lol* Officially started yesterday. Man, it’s so tiring, but I still tend to the dogs. Because I want to. I love them so much that I even had a dream about them. :D ♥ ♥ ♥ In the dream, I was walking around somewhere full of trees and grass. It was either just green or white in my dream. Then someone said that wherever we were was a good location for a movie or a shoot which I agreed to. I remembered Allie then I felt sad. I started to look for the dogs. Suddenly, I had a film camera in my hand. I saw Marie standing (as if dancing) on a bed while I peeked through the viewfinder. The sun’s rays shone on her even making it an awesome image. I was telling my companion, but she didn’t see Marie. She was like a ghost that can only be seen with a camera. ^_^ The dream hardly made sense, I know. It only probably showed how much I have been thinking about the dogs and cameras. *lol*

My period started yesterday. Ugh~ I felt awful. I was having mood swings. I felt depressed. I felt mad at the world. There are reasons why and not just because of the period. I’ll spare the drama now. Should post about it next time when I can’t find myself to forget. :P

The other day I finished JEANNE D’ARC! That game is long. ~_~ But it’s good. Addicting due to the storyline. I was always curious as to what happens next after a fight, so I kept moving on and barely made efforts to make my characters strong. *lol* They’re levels are 5-6 points higher than the enemies anyway, so hardly got problems fighting with the bosses. The final boss was a piece of cake. XD Now I can finish FFXII. D: After… What? 2 years? XDDD

Some new additions to my semi-dead dA account. :P I know these aren’t dA-worthy. But, who cares? *lol*

Dead Fantasy I and II, WP 2.5 questions (3 Comments)

Dead Fantasy I stars Rikku, Yuna, and some girls from DOA. The video is mostly just action — girls beating the hell out of each other. But they’re not one-on-one fights. It’s Rikku and Yuna vs the DOA girls. In the end of this video, Tifa helps the out the two.

The story continues on at Dead Fantasy II with the characters from the first one. At the later part, a girl from Ninja Gaiden, Rinoa, and a girl from Kingdom Hearts (sorry, I haven’t played that yet so I don’t know her name) makes an appearance. I am quite amazed how cool Rinoa is in Dead Fantasy II. There will be 5 more episodes to go. I can’t wait to see more of girls kicking asses. XD

When I was in Illinois, I was able to go to 2 bars. I can’t say it was pretty fun, since it seems mostly older people were there. Maybe in their late 20s. Hard to say. They could be younger than they look. ^_^V Anyway, hopefully soon I (with my family) will be going to the US. Maybe get to visit some San Diego irish pubs if it’s San Diego we’re going to. *lol*

I wonder if I should upgrade to WP 2.5 now. :/ Too lazy to check if there are any WP tags changes, so I wanna ask those who upgraded if there are? I hate having to go through templates and such whenever there’s a need to upgrade. Time consuming. Ugh~

My eyes feel like they’re burning! X_X (Comments Off)

Anyone heard of PhilPay? They say that it can be used to pay anything online. It’s the first time I’ve heard of it. I looked at their fees. Found it complicated. But I guess I haven’t thought about it carefully because I’m hungry, tired, and sleepy. :P

Royal couple with Rita Marley
Camilla looks so bored

I would gladly take her place if she didn’t like being there. ~_~

I suck at daily blogging, but I’m sure you guys already know that. *lol*

Last weekend, I mostly just stayed at home because Mac couldn’t go out. On Sunday though I went out with the family to St. Clare to offer thanks. We went there about 2 Sundays before my board exam. I gave a letter asking for guidance and help. ^_^ Their prayers works! Amazing! *lol* Seriously though, I wouldn’t say I passed with just luck. I guessed about 90% of the questions in the exam. :3

When we got to St. Clare, that’s where we only remembered it was Palm Sunday. ^_^V Since their blessing of palms was scheduled at 6:30AM, but we got there around 9AM already, we had to go back to Don Bosco Church in Makati. There were so many people inside the Church. It was nauseating. Then we went to Landmark; my Mom did the grocery while my brother and I went window shopping. In the afternoon, I asked my Dad to make a quick stop at Fully Booked High Street. Just had to check something. :/ We headed to Robinson’s Galleria after to buy my Dad’s bench press. I had to support that 100+ lbs of steel and plastic all the way back to Makati. My left hand almost died. *lol*

Mac and I went out late afternoon last Monday to Ayala MRT to meet up with someone who asked for a copy of the Detective Conan live action specials + some Romeo x Juliet episodes. (Btw, Newtype, I emailed you re: our trade. ^_^ ) Then we headed to SM’s grocery where we ordered 2 meals from RBX. I’ve been craving for it! Then I remembered Maru and Irynne were in Glorietta, so I messaged Maru where we were. Minutes later, we were all hanging in SM’s food court. XD Astig noh? After the food break, we headed to Greenbelt 3 where Mac and I usually sit and smoke. Maru and Irynne separated from us because Maru wanted show Irynne around. It was her FIRST TIME there. Oh, not only in Greenbelt, but also Glorietta! (CONGRATULATIONS, IRYNNE!!! *ROFLMAO* XDDD J/k!)

It was such a tiring night. ^^ Yesterday was tiring too. Mac and I went to Starbucks High Street to meet a guy interested with his cellphone. He checked the unit, but didn’t purchase the phone yet. He said he would bid first. No bids at this moment though. I hope he does soon since the list is almost expiring. Ayoko ng paasa ha. XP Meeting with the guy was a bit of a headache. I kept telling where I am, and he’s always, “In High Street? Starbucks?” So weird. Anyway, I do hope he buys the cellphone. :/

We walked to Market! Market! to drop off a package at Mail & More then headed back to High Street. I finally got a GREEN HOLGA! wo0t! Pictures of the camera to come when I ain’t lazy. XD I should test the camera for now, so I can prepare lots of film for the Surigao trip. :D Anyway, we went back to SM Makati and ate again at RBX. *lol* Mac and I will be trying Sisig Hooray next time. Hmm… SISIG! :9

We did a lot of walking yesterday that I started to feel sick. My joints felt numb or painful… I dunno which really. This is also because of the lack of sleep. *sighs*

No one replied to my question in one of my previous posts — Can someone recommend good games for the DS Lite? :D I would only purchase what is worth it and the others will just be downloaded. XDDD

Alright, time for breakfast!

FreeRice (Comments Off)

In FreeRice, you got to find the meaning of the word given. For every right answer you get, they will donate 10 grains of rice through United Nations. I found this link through one of hanazuke’s posts. ^_^ You should try it out. It’s fun actually, but a bit frustrating because when you get a wrong answer, a point from your vocabulary level will be deducted. ^_^V Aside from the fun factor, you also get to help the hungry. So yeah, go and play! XD
