TDK, the photo op, and a pic spam (Comments Off)

Mac and I watched The Dark Knight last week. We decided to watch at a later time when everyone else has watched it already, so there wouldn’t be much people in the theater anymore. We thought wrong!

There were still a lot and most of them are effin’ noisy. Some were even talking out loud during the movie about what was going to happen next. How annoying! That’s one of the reasons why I dislike watching movies in theaters. A lot of movie-goes lack common sense. Geez~ Movie-wise, HEATH LEDGER gave life to that movie. Christian Bale at some point too, of course. (He also gave me an orgasm. *roflmao*) But, seriously, the rest of the movie is all about THE JOKER. Heath Ledger’s parting is such a great loss.

On July 28 was my brother’s birthday.

We had dinner at Haiku and dessert at Cafe Breton.

Astig! Too bad I wasn’t able to join them. I was too busy that time and kinda unaware of the schedule of events.

Next time I’ll be sure to join… I did get to join the Lomomanila party though. I wonder what happened to the shots before the Lomo party. O_o?

Much has happened last week that it felt like 2 weeks passed. Two Sundays ago (May 18, right?), my boyfriend and I watched Iron Man. ♥ Seeing Robert Downey Jr. gave me an orgasm. *roflmao* J/k! Seriously though, not only is he an eye-candy, the movie is overall great. I can watch it a lot of times and never get tired of it. *sighs* RDJ is ♥. *_* Gwyneth is also something in the movie. I can’t run on high stilettos.

And… Samuel L. Jackson… He looks cool with an eyepatch.

Even though I badly had to go the washroom, I waited for his appearance after the credits.

The following day, Mac and I were supposed to go to Harrison Plaza to look for a flash cartridge for my DS Lite. Hmm, seems I haven’t given my toy a name.

Anyway, all the shops there were selling it about a thousand Pesos more than the stalls Goldcrest. So, in spite of the traffic, we went to Goldcrest and got me a discounted DSTT.

It can read micro SD cards of more than 4GB, so I’m happy with it.

Then I went to CD-R King to buy a Kingston micro SD card with MS PRO DUO adapter. It’s a bit more expensive than with the micro SD’s usual adapter, but I want to try with my PSP. Cheaper alternative plus Sony mem-sticks seem to easily defunct.

Hopefully it works.

I haven’t done much with the DSTT yet except put some games. Now I have my DS Lite almost all the time with me.

When I was still canvassing for n5 and DSTT some time ago, I came across a shop with a saleslady offering the DSTT for only PhP200.

Here’s how our conversation went:

Me: Excuse me. How much is the DSTT?
Saleslady: Uhhh… *gets said item* It’s PhP250, but I’ll give it to you at PhP200. Bilhin niyo na po para may benta na kami. (She’s telling me to buy the item already since they haven’t sold anything yet for the day. It was already 7PM then.)
Me: Huh??? *surprised* Talagang PhP200 lang? (English: It’s really ony Php200?)

I checked the box and saw the tag price — PhP2500. How can she miss the last 0?

Mac was giving me the look to buy it. But I would really feel bad if I did just because of the saleslady’s stupidity. Then I went to the other part of the store and left Mac to deal with the saleslady. I heard Mac say he would get 2. Then another saleslady went to them and asked the other how much she priced the DSTT. The other tells her offer then she got scolded. This saleslady then tells Mac it’s PhP2500 and not PhP200 nor PhP250.

Latest DA additions:

Those pictures were taken after the Makati City Grand Parade last May 9. My boyfriend and I arrived late because we didn’t know where exactly the parade will start nor where the stage is. We kept arguing almost the whole afternoon too.

I was very tired (that was the time where we didn’t have any helpers at home) and he barely cared even if I already started having foot cramps. Ugh~

Oh well, I’m glad I was able to take good picture with my ol’ 4MP digicam.

I also used my Holga, but only took 2-3 shots with it. Mac used my PhP50 Vivitar IC100. I hope a few will come out.

Then Saturday I went to the hospital for a complete fasting blood test, ECG, and urine test. Makati Med seems very disorganized now. I don’t remember having to fall in line along the corridor while waiting for the retraction. The prices have gone insanely up either.

I’ll be getting the results in all tests later. I could have gotten them last Tuesday, but I got my hands full lately.

I should really try to control my temper. I also feel I haven’t said anything nice about other people recently.

I sometimes can’t help it when those people ~~unknowingly~~push my temper. GRR~ I’m being nice to them. I know that because I let things go their way. I even have to make little sacrifices. Then it comes to the point they’re abusing my kindness and my generosity. When I talk to them about it, they’re either ignorant or selfish about it which makes me feel stupid in the end. Also, there are 2 people who I’ve been trying to make a good relationship with because we’re in “one group.” We make and have plans together. If we act like strangers then there will always be tension among us. I am trying to make things work, but these people just won’t cooperate. They’re like being distant. They probably think they’re too cool to become friends. We’re not a group joined together by AUDITIONS dammit. We’re not doing “this” for the music industry. Get that through your head!

Oh gawd, I said I’d make this blog less depressing and I still went on with the drama/rant. I really hope things get better and happier. This BS research is the root of all sadness, depression, stress, and anger I am feeling right now.

Now for the live action series/dramas/movies I wanted to blog about. I’m looking forward to most of these (actually all of them as I am curious!). First off is Mahou Sensei Negima! Live Action. A trailer is out. I found the Mahou Sensei Negima video from this blog. I’m not really impressed and I feel like I got excited for NOTHING. Negi’s hair looks bad.

Good news to Kenichi Matsuyama (L of Death and Shin in Nana) fans! Aside from his upcoming movie, L, look forward to the live-action adaptation of Kamui Gaiden. Kamui Gaiden contains the side stories to the original Legend of Kamui manga. Yōichi Sai will direct the movie. He’s best known for his work Chi to Hone. The shooting will start this November and release will be on 2009. (Source: ANN) I didn’t really like him as Shin in Nana though he was good in the Death Note movies.

I can’t wait to see him in L and in this movie too. The next movie (I bet some of you will be surprised and won’t be too happy) is Voltron: Defender of the Universe. It’s said that with the success of the Transformers (2007) movie, New Regency Productions’ interest in doing this has increased. Justine Marks is the scriptwriter for this live-action. His plot description — …a post-apocalyptic tale set in New York City and Mexico. Five ragtag survivors of an alien attack band together and end up piloting the five lion-shaped robots that combine and form the massive sword-wielding Voltron that helps battle Earth’s invaders. — I think the movie will be more fun if he stuck with the original plot instead of making up one and just using the lion robots.

City Hunter, after several adaptations, there will be another but a TV series this time. The main actor will be Jung Woo-sung. I think I have the City Hunter anime and manga. I hope I can get around to watching the anime before the series is shown. A movie adaptation for Higurashi no Naku Koro ni will be shown on 2008. It’s a suspense/thriller story which makes me want to see. There are ‘fans’ though who are against this movie. They even have a petition to stop the movie production.

Mousou Shoujo Otaku Kei will have a live-action adaptation! For those who haven’t heard of this title, based on ANN — The romantic comedy manga series centers around an obsessive fujoshi (female fan of manga and novels featuring male-male relationships) who falls in love with a “normal” classmate in their first year in high school. — This will be a fun watch! I hope it’s a series.

The news doesn’t say whether this will be a movie or series.

BL FANS! The ff. is major news for you.

I got excited when I read about two BL titles being made into live action movies. First is Takumi-kun. Since Takumi-kun is a collection of novels, the movie will be based tentatively on its first story. The second is Ai no Kotodama by Konno Keiko. Here’s a short description of the 2-volume story:

After graduating from high school, Tachibana and Otani have finally confessed their love for each other and are living together. However, their co-habitation is totally ruined when they run into an old high school buddy, Yuki. Otani has always been suspicious of the friendship between Tachibana and Yuki. And honestly, his suspicions may not be that far off… –B-U Manga

Hopefully when they’re released, they’ll be ripped and subbed right away unlike Boys Love.

For old news (I say old because I bet I’m the last to know of this among my LJ friends who are fellow fans), China will create a live-action TV series of THE PRINCE OF TENNIS.

Transformers YAY! (Comments Off)

I cancelled practice today because EJ, the trombone player, Mimi, and Jackie won’t make it YET AGAIN. My patience is almost at its limit. Please don’t let me get pissed off at you guys. It’s not only you who has to make to make sacrifices of your time.

I then spent my afternoon sleeping, surfing the net, checking emails, and installing Adobe Flash Pro CS3. The latter was unsuccessful. The setup file kept looking for the CD installer in which, I believe, wasn’t supposed to be asked for. I might have to buy the CD tomorrow. What’s the trial download for, Adobe!? GRRR~ You just wasted my precious download time.

Ack, I didn’t know that Ayumi Hamasaki and Nagase Tomoya dated. I only found out after reading this news regarding their break-up. I’m that behind.

But I just knew of Nagase Tomoya after watching Tiger & Dragon recently. If I didn’t watch that, I wouldn’t have seen that pretty boy. *_* I must see more dramas with him in it.

I stayed up until 6AM last Thursday to read the Transformers (2007) movie prequel and adaptation comics. :3 Mac, Maru, and I finally got to watch the movie the day before. I surfed about Transformers in the net when I got home and discovered that there’s a comic sequel to the movie. Thank goodness for BT.

There are only 4 issues in both the prequel and movie adaptation. The script in the movie adaptation is slightly different. There weren’t much humor compared to the movie. But both are great to me except for the kissing scene in the movie comic adaptation. This gave me goosebumps:

I’ve started watching Lucky Star a few days ago.

I’m already on episode 8 and will watch episode 9-10 later. Maybe episode 11 too once my download is done. Download speed has gone really slow recently. It’s only fast around 3AM. Because of that, I haven’t downloaded much lately. *sighs* I feel like I’m behind on a lot of anime and manga.

A sms pranskter sent me a message last week about winning a Toyota Altis + Php300,000. I deleted the message, but I remember he/she said I won last May 14, 2007 as a homepartner.

This is annoying. The first time I got this, the message stated that I won last April 21, 2007.

Then I got a text from Angel Santillian asking for monetary help, so she could go to the city and get the job she was offered in Ortigas. My Mom got a message like that years ago. I think I did too. There’s also another text message inviting me to a Strategic Marketing Conference. Whoever’s selling out numbers should be beat up. GRRR~ Isn’t it enough that we already get spam in our email/s? Why through sms too!?

Aside from Pinoys with nothing to do and sending out stupid SMS, I heard about a swindler using Friendster. GMA’s Saksi covered it. You can watch the video here. The news is in Filipino, btw. If there really is a need to send money to other people, send it via Western Union. Have it for pick-up. WU will have to ask for an ID, right? That method is safer somehow.

Miyabi’s new look? She’s now sporting a cornrow and also got her eyebrow/s shaved.

Fire, fake phones, and your hair (1 Comment)

This happened one night last month. The transformer on an electrical post across the street was suddenly on fire. At first I wasn’t aware, but Allie was barking and barking, our neighbors were noisy, and there was even a loud engine (that was actually from a firetruck). I peeked outside and saw what was all the commotion about. I didn’t see the flames right away. It was only smoking as the firemen tried to put the fire out. Meralco was already called for, but with all the traffic, they didn’t arrive here as quickly as they should have. (Read more)

This makes me remember the time when our house almost burned down.

I barely talked in school and no one hardly believed me when I said about the incident. That also reminds of the Romeo and Juliet drama. Juri wouldn’t believe Hiromichi when he said that his father ran away from home and his mom is terribly sick. The drama is probably too hard to believe. I guess it’s the same way with most of my classmates. They probably think that it’s unlikely to happen to me and my family.

There are others of this here. The later part of that post has some pictures of fake cellphones. The Nokia phones could hardly fool you if you aren’t looking properly at the name on its casing. The problem is if its case can easily be changed.

My brother and I watched the PoT Live Action Movie this early, early, early morning/last night.

Around 2:30, I think. The movie’s a waste of time. Ugh~ I was happy seeing Buchou and Echizen though. Haha~ I felt the ♥.

Their drama between each other made me say to my brother, “They’re like boyfriend-boyfriend.”

Anyway, I said this movie’s a waste of time because the storyline wasn’t done properly. The movie started with Ryoma’s arrival from the US and becomes a new member of the team. They shouldn’t have done this as it confuses the story. The events in the movie feel like they happened in a week. My brother said that the movie’s probably low-budget.

I don’t know about that. I didn’t find out about this movie until a trader offered this to me.

I’ve seen too many movies lately. I haven’t seen Transformers yet. I might as well download it when I don’t get the chance to go out and watch it. My Dad setup four speakers in the living room and I want to try them out while watching a movie. We only had 2 speakers there back then and I use it whenever I play PS2 games. Haha~

I’m going to finish one or two from my to-do list before our band practice later. I only found out about the practice.

Oh! Before I finish this, I want to ask… When you get old and you start losing hair, will you get a hair replacement?
