Shoes, yesterday, and some yaoi reads (Comments Off)
aqrn785, I can’t seem to access your blog.
I want this shoes. That’s going to be in my to-buy list. *_*
I went to my bf’s place yesterday. I showed him the Lameboy emulator I just copied to my DS Lite this morning. He wanted to play old GB/GBC Pokemon games. XD I also showed him DSOrganize which is teh awesome. Let’s see if it will really help me be more organized. HAHAHHAHA~ WTF… I have the Belle de Jour planner, the Starbucks journal (but I actually use that more for literally journaling), and a Nokia 9300i… Still, I feel so disorganized! XDDD I gotta stop procrastinating.
Anyway, moving on… I stayed there until, uhh, 8:30PM. We just smoked and hanged out with his friends. I even saw the person I didn’t want to see. ~_~ I dislike her a lot because I find her, hmm, a disgrace to the female population. *lol* I know I have no right to say that. It’s just that, if she has the guts to run away from home, she must be able to take care of herself instead of becoming a freeloader. *shakes head*
Any of my friends on Plurk yet? XD It’s highly addicting. It has become the next IRC. *ROFL*
Miyamoto Kano’s Not/Love is sweet. ^_^ It’s been (another) long while again since I read yaoi. It was actually Tenshi wo Kudasai by Minamino Mashiro that I read before Not/Love. I can’t get past the 3rd chapter. The story’s just so confusing. ~_~

Now for the live action series/dramas/movies I wanted to blog about. I’m looking forward to most of these (actually all of them as I am curious!). First off is Mahou Sensei Negima! Live Action. A trailer is out. I found the Mahou Sensei Negima video from this blog. I’m not really impressed and I feel like I got excited for NOTHING. Negi’s hair looks bad. ~_~
Good news to Kenichi Matsuyama (L of Death and Shin in Nana) fans! Aside from his upcoming movie, L, look forward to the live-action adaptation of Kamui Gaiden. Kamui Gaiden contains the side stories to the original Legend of Kamui manga. Yōichi Sai will direct the movie. He’s best known for his work Chi to Hone. The shooting will start this November and release will be on 2009. (Source: ANN) I didn’t really like him as Shin in Nana though he was good in the Death Note movies. ^_^ I can’t wait to see him in L and in this movie too. The next movie (I bet some of you will be surprised and won’t be too happy) is Voltron: Defender of the Universe. It’s said that with the success of the Transformers (2007) movie, New Regency Productions’ interest in doing this has increased. Justine Marks is the scriptwriter for this live-action. His plot description — …a post-apocalyptic tale set in New York City and Mexico. Five ragtag survivors of an alien attack band together and end up piloting the five lion-shaped robots that combine and form the massive sword-wielding Voltron that helps battle Earth’s invaders. — I think the movie will be more fun if he stuck with the original plot instead of making up one and just using the lion robots. ~_~ City Hunter, after several adaptations, there will be another but a TV series this time. The main actor will be Jung Woo-sung. I think I have the City Hunter anime and manga. I hope I can get around to watching the anime before the series is shown. A movie adaptation for Higurashi no Naku Koro ni will be shown on 2008. It’s a suspense/thriller story which makes me want to see. There are ‘fans’ though who are against this movie. They even have a petition to stop the movie production.
Mousou Shoujo Otaku Kei will have a live-action adaptation! For those who haven’t heard of this title, based on ANN — The romantic comedy manga series centers around an obsessive fujoshi (female fan of manga and novels featuring male-male relationships) who falls in love with a “normal” classmate in their first year in high school. — This will be a fun watch! I hope it’s a series. ^_^V The news doesn’t say whether this will be a movie or series.
BL FANS! The ff. is major news for you. XD I got excited when I read about two BL titles being made into live action movies. First is Takumi-kun. Since Takumi-kun is a collection of novels, the movie will be based tentatively on its first story. The second is Ai no Kotodama by Konno Keiko. Here’s a short description of the 2-volume story:
After graduating from high school, Tachibana and Otani have finally confessed their love for each other and are living together. However, their co-habitation is totally ruined when they run into an old high school buddy, Yuki. Otani has always been suspicious of the friendship between Tachibana and Yuki. And honestly, his suspicions may not be that far off… –B-U Manga
Hopefully when they’re released, they’ll be ripped and subbed right away unlike Boys Love. ^_^V For old news (I say old because I bet I’m the last to know of this among my LJ friends who are fellow fans), China will create a live-action TV series of THE PRINCE OF TENNIS. O_o (Source: ANN)

The weekend and pictures (Comments Off)
I tried MT4 some time ago. MT4’s got folders, categories, and tags. Wow, it’s for the extreme OC maybe? *lol* One thing I like about it is its very nice interface. Totally beats WordPress on that.
Last Friday, I was supposed to go to Phoebe’s place. Unfortunately, that plans didn’t push through. For me, that is. Whatever happened to _their_ plans, I don’t know. ~_~ Then Saturday, I went to Mac’s place and hanged out for a bit. We just had Mountain Dew, played Naruto in the PSP, and smoked. :sing:
My dad, mom, and I went to Antipolo early the following day to have our semi-new car blessed. There was like a riot; still the same the last time I’ve been there. XP There were so many people, it took minutes to wait for a parking, and when we did, some asked us to leave because we were somewhat blocking the way. When they saw the priest bless the car, that kind of shut them up though. I was almost getting pissed. I only had to control myself because I was very near the church. ^_^V It’s funny how that place turned into such a mess. The front of the church looks like a marketplace when, if I remember right, Jesus was angry to the people who turned His holy place into like that. The front of the Antipolo church looked like you are about to enter a wet market. O_o Alright, I may be exagerrating, but that place needs an overhaul. After that, we went to the grocery. I stayed in the food court to play Lumines. *lol*
I have too much pictures in my old gallery that I really am taking my time uploading them in my Multiply account. XD; I want to make sure that the quality of the pictures are better than before. I also want to filter out my crappy shots. ^_^V These are from my cousin’s daughter’s baptism 3 years ago. :O I was still fat then (only lost like .5 from my weight *lol*).

BLAST is re-opening once more and we’re looking for new staffers!
We need all the help we can get to get this group running smoothly. These are what we need:Translators
We are looking for Japanese-to-English (urgent) and Chinese-to-English translators. We are not very strict on having every Japanese or Chinese text translated like author notes or SFX, but being able to translate the latter would be great.
Raw Providers/Scanners
We are looking for Japanese yaoi or doujinshi raws. But if you have Chinese yaoi manga or doujinshi, we might give it a try. We do not require scanners to have their books cut or have every pages of it ripped. Click here for hyukta’s sample scan of a grayscale or b&w image that was only bent at most. You must provide us scan samples for colored and black and white pages.
Editors
Editors must already have knowledge with Adobe Photoshop. An experienced editor is not required, but will be a great advantage. If you’re a newbie, you must have the patience and will to learn. Fonts will be provided and a short instruction/requirement in editing. We do not have time constraints for editors, but you should be able to finish in 2-3 weeks at most per chapter.
Proofreaders
The proofreader must be at least almost-excellent in English grammar and able to point out misspelled words and missing punctuations. He/She will have a week minimum to proofread a translation.
Quality-checkers
Quality-checkers must be good at editing as well. You must check if the edits are consistent in terms of width-size and fonts; cleaning, leveling, cloning, and curves are properly done; and, be able to take note of grammar errors, missing punctuations, and misspelled words. The QC-er must be able to explain properly to the editor of corrections. Experience is not required, but an advantage.
Hyukta’s Assistant
Yes, Hyukta is looking for a full-time assistant! *lol* XD The assistant must have IRC access and be logged in most of the time because Hyukta tends to leave messages there instead of sending an email; will (and must be able to) upload releases to Blast’s IRC bot; help ‘poke’ staffers from time to time when there are stuff to edit, scan, or translate; and, have some leadership skills among others.
We will have some releases in the next few days. We’re almost running out of projects, so… Give us something to do? Join us too please? ^.^
