Bargain books and sketchbook buys from my reliable source

One of my book sources went on a big book sale early this month. Even with the merest budget I can allot to shop, I was able to get a lot of books.

I wouldn’t have gotten The Dog Owner’s Manual if someone hadn’t put it on top of a row of books. Its striking color and cute dog drawing on the cover got my attention. The Worst Case Scenario Survival Handbook: Travel is entertaining with its instructions on how to jump from rooftop to rooftop (parkour?) or how to cross a piranha-infested river (Piranha flick?) among others. But I’m sure there’s a lot I can learn from it and, hopefully, I would not need to apply.

Another super bargain hardbound book I found that I had returned for when friend Ry and I were about to leave because I had second thoughts is this Dragonology: The Complete Book of Dragons.

For only PhP250, this will be my coffee table book and probably a tattoo reference.

Pages of the book are glossy; everything is colored with amazing dragon illustrations and the book is interactive. There are popups of dragon eggs and overlays of the dragon anatomy. Aside from those books, I also bought this sketchbook by Ecosystem for a good price.

Total damage is PhP1500. 😀 The trip to my book supplier and back home with the books as weights was very worth it.
