BOUND: Pairs Cosplay
1) Cosplayers must come in established canon or accepted fanon yaoi pairs from any anime, manga, game, book, tv series, or movie. No solo cosplayers nor groups above two persons will be accepted. No original character cosplay will be allowed.
2) We will be more than happy to accomodate lady crossplayers to participate in the event. Open-minded gentlemen cosplayers are also welcome. However, the organizers reserve the right to bar entry to or eject from the event individuals they feel will be detrimental to the atmosphere of the convention.
3) Participants to the Pairs Cosplay are requested to register in full costume at the booth located near the Library. NO DRESSING ROOMS will be provided; however, there is a public rest room located within the venue, so feel free to dress up there.
4) There will be no formal ramp presentation for the cosplayers; instead cosplayers are requested to mingle with the crowd and promote themselves. Winners will be judged not only by the quality of their cosplay but also how well the convention guests have received them. During the closing program of the convention, one pair will be selected as the Lights Out BOUND Pair. Winners will receive certificates and gift packages from LO.
5) The organizers reserve the right to modify competition rules, judging criteria, and prize allocation up to five working days before the event.
ILLICIT: Illustration Contest
1) Create a one-panel BL illustration – original or fan-art, using any traditional, digital, or mixed media. Entries done in traditional and mixed media must be scanned and converted to digital format for submission.
2) Entries should be 8×10 inches in size and saved as a JPG or flattened PSD file in 150dpi or 300dpi. The image must not exceed 5MB after compression. We accept only online submissions. Please e-mail them on or before May 19, 2007 to lightsout [at]punkednoodle[dot]com.
3) We will require a minimum of six submissions for the contest to push through. Winners will be judged by a secret panel of judges. During the closing program of the convention, one entry will be selected as the winner. The winner will receive a certificate and gift package from LO.
4) The organizers reserve the right to modify competition rules, judging criteria, and prize allocation up to five working days before the event.
Lights Out Pr0n Trading Post Guidelines
1) Owing to the difficulties that surfaced during the past two cons, we will no longer be accepting on-the-spot CD burn requests for the Trading Post. Instead, we encourage everyone to check out the forums and pre-select the media you would like to acquire from the listed providers, so they can burn it ahead of time and you can simply pick it up at the con.
2) If you’re trading your own stuff for new ones, we also encourage you to pre-burn your CDs to facilitate the trade. Or, if lacking material, bring good quality blank CDs and cases/spindles and you trade those instead.
3) If left with no other choice, you can also purchase media discs for cash. However we’d like to remind everyone that there is a PhP 10 cap on all CDs regardless of content. We’re here to trade pr0n ladies, not to make money off each other~ ^^v
Lights Out Yaoi Library Guidelines
1) To assure ample circulation of all materials available at the Lights Out Yaoi Library among con attendees, guests will be no longer be allowed unlimited open access to the books on display. Instead, con attendees will be issued library passes for limited use at the Library. Each pass can be used to borrow any six volumes of manga, doujinshi, magazines, etc. from the Library.
2) The passes can also be used to avail of any six 15-minute blocks of time-use with our Digital Manga Library. If you intend to use your fifteen-minute time-use block to download material into a USB flash memory drive, please inform the Librarian beforehand.
Any combinations of the two (book rental or time use) are valid, as long as they do not exceed six uses*. Passes are transferable, so you can borrow your friend’s library pass if she won’t use it and avail of more books or time-use blocks.
3) To check out a book or avail of a time-use block, simply hand over your pass to be validated, and surrender your convention badge to the Librarian for safe-keeping. Your convention badges will be returned to you when you hand in the borrowed book, or vacate the computer station at the 15-minute mark.
4) Book borrowing and Digital Library access is strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. If the book you would like to borrow is in circulation or all computer stations are in use, your name will be taken down on the reservation list (or you can opt to borrow a different book).
5) Borrowers are encouraged to return items promptly to accomodate the next borrower. Borrowers are also asked to refrain from swapping books with other borrowers, since the items you are holding may have several people listed down already waiting for their turns.
*For example: you can avail of four books and two blocks of time-use, totalling to six uses in all.
