Daily, Memes: Shut down your PC for a day (1 Comment)
A meme first to keep this post from being extremely short.
Once you have been tagged, you have to write a blog with 10 random things, facts, goals, or habits about yourself. At the end, choose 10 people to be tagged. You can’t tag a person who has tagged you. Since you can’t re-tag me, let me know when you’ve posted your blog so I can read the answers!
1. One of my lola (lola = grandmother; but this lola is the sister of my direct grandmother — my Mom’s mom XD) bought me a fake LeSportsac from Tutuban yesterday. *roflmao* It’s cute though, so I’m using it.
2. I will lose weight then gain them all again. Yo-yo effect they call it. It sucks that I can’t maintain my body once I lose weight. Then my relatives’ visit in the country didn’t help at all when we mostly did was eat… Aside from taking pictures. D:
3. I’ve gotten into analog photography once again. I was a little bit into before, but because I didn’t have much funds for films and processing, the hobby didn’t last long. Thanks to Digiprints’ film scanning (w/ free shipping!) for a low price, I can take lots of pictures. I don’t even have to keep hard copies.
4. I’m very OC with my files especially with mp3, videos, and pictures. With mp3, I make sure they’re all properly tagged and I try to include album covers. The videos are properly named like, for instance, anime series should be — TITLE - EPISODE NUMBER.AVI. I also add the subbers name at the end in between brackets.
5. When I play RPG, I always make sure to finish one before I go on to another. Doesn’t apply with my FFXII game though. I haven’t played that game for almost a year now and I’ve already started on Jeanne D’Arc.
6. I ♥ animals. I hate seeing sick, abandoned, or maltreated animals. Our love isn’t only meant for only humans and material things (I’ve heard of some people marrying their cars XP). It should also be shared with animals. Dogs are ♥. One time I saw a dog dragging its legs and I wanted to cry. Whoever hurt the dog must terribly suffer.
7. I dislike being called with my real name. Only very, very, very special people can call me with it except our helpers and an acquaintance who drives for us. They’re not under the “very, very, very special people” category.
8. I don’t eat shrimps. My stomach doesn’t like it.
9. I tend to splurge on books or manga, but never get to read nor touch them after months. After shopping, I just place those buys on the foot of my bed. Once I realize that my bed is getting too “crowded” that’s just when I look for some place so store in.
10. I cut my own bangs. It’s only twice that a stylist was able to give me a good cut of it. The others did it too short or too straight like Emily the Strange’s.
That took me so long to write.
I used to tag a lot of my LJ friends, but it seems none of them are reading my LJ anymore so… ^_^;;; Wahahha~ Drama!
Anyone participating on Shut Down Day?

Daily: What the doctor didn’t tell you… (Comments Off)
I read this from an email forward and also saw this in a site (while bloghopping). I’m not sure if they’re truly effective, but I don’t think it would hurt to try them.
WHAT THE DOCTOR DIDN’T TELL YOU…
Keep this on the Fridge
Did You Know That? Drinking two glasses of Gatorade can relieve headache pain almost immediately — without the unpleasant side effects caused by traditional “pain relievers.”
Did you know that Colgate toothpaste makes an excellent salve for burns.
Before you head to the drugstore for a high-priced inhaler filled with mysterious chemicals, try chewing on a couple of curiously strong Altoids peppermints. They’ll clear up your stuffed nose.
Achy muscles from a bout of the flu? Mix 1 Tablespoon of horseradish in 1 cup of olive oil. Let the mixture sit for 30 minutes, then apply it as a massage oil, for instant relief for aching muscles.
Sore throat? Just mix 1/4 cup of vinegar with 1/4 cup of honey and take 1 tablespoon six times a day. The vinegar kills the bacteria.
Cure urinary tract infections with Alka-Seltzer… Just dissolve two tablets in a glass of water and drink it at the onset of the symptoms. Alka-Seltzer begins eliminating urinary tract infections almost instantly — even though the product was never been advertised for this use. (Note: Alka-Seltzer Plus Cold Medicine is not the same.and contains aspirin, which can cause stomach bleeding if you have ulcers.)
Honey remedy for skin blemishes… Cover the blemish with a dab of honey and place a Band-Aid over it. Honey kills the bacteria, keeps the skin sterile, and speeds healing. Works overnight.
Listerine therapy for toenail fungus… Get rid of unsightly toenail fungus by soaking your toes in Listerine mouthwash. The powerful antiseptic leaves your toenails looking healthy again.
Easy eyeglass protection… To prevent the screws in eyeglasses from loosening, apply a small drop of Maybelline Crystal Clear nail polish to the threads of the screws before tightening them.
Coca-Cola cure for rust… Forget those expensive rust removers. Just saturate an abrasive sponge with Coca Cola and scrub the rust stain. The phosphoric acid in the coke is what gets the job done.
Cleaning liquid that doubles as bug killer… If menacing bees, wasps, hornets, or yellow jackets get in your home and you can’t find the insecticide, try a spray of Formula 409. Insects drop to the ground instantly.
Smart splinter remover …just pour a drop of Elmer’s Glue-All over the splinter, let dry, and peel the dried glue off the skin. The splinter sticks to the dried glue.
Hunt’s tomato paste boil cure… cover the boil with Hunt’s tomato paste as a compress. The acids from the tomatoes soothe the pain and bring the boil to a head.
Balm for broken blisters… To disinfect a broken blister, dab on a few drops of Listerine … a powerful antiseptic.
Heinz vinegar to heal bruises .. Soak a cotton ball in white vinegar and apply it to the bruise for 1 hour. The vinegar reduces the blueness and speeds up the healing process.
Kills fleas instantly . Dawn dish washing liquid does the trick. Add a few drops to your dog’s bath and shampoo the animal thoroughly. Rinse well to avoid skin irritations. Goodbye fleas.
Rainy day cure for dog odor… Next time your dog comes in from the rain, simply wipe down the animal with Bounce or any dryer sheet, instantly making your dog smell springtime fresh.
Eliminate ear mites… All it takes is a few drops of Wesson corn oil in your cat’s ear. Massage it in, then clean with a cotton ball. Repeat daily for 3 days. The oil soothes the cat’s skin, smothers the mites, and accelerates healing.
Quaker Oats for fast pain relief… It’s not for breakfast anymore! Mix 2 cups of Quaker Oats and 1 cup of water in a bowl and warm in the microwave for 1 minute, cool slightly, and apply the mixture to your hands for soothing relief from arthritis pain.

Daily, Music: Stealing is bad! (Comments Off)
Most Manila residents must have seen or heard already about the EARTH DAY JAM 2008. I just found out about it today. But I did not see nor hear its ads, except from Alodia’s blog post asking for opinions about photo theft. These will explain everything:
The photo was used without permission nor is there even any credit. Tricia, the photographer, is asking everyone’s help on this matter. Read her blog entry on this. I have heard of others who went through the same incident, but not with n event with a lot of sponsors.
The event’s for a good cause. But that doesn’t mean they could be forgiven for stealing.

Daily, Plugs: Back from Surigao and Paypal q’s (2 Comments)
I was supposed to blog before my trip to Surigao City last Friday, but forgot all about it when I went through my bags over and over again.
I have questions regarding Paypal, btw. I need funds, so I have to get the money from my account.
1. What is the bank code of BPI Family Bank? BPI Family Bank and BPI are different from one another unless someone can prove that there really is only one bank code for them like from what I read in other sites. I find it hard to believe because other bloggers say they used a different code and were still able to withdraw. I don’t want to pay penalty should I have problems. Sayang din yun ha.
2. For BPI Family Bank users, what bank name did you put? Just making sure because Paypal might be sensitive on bank names.
3. How long did the withdrawal take effect in your bank account?
4. For unverified accounts, is there a maximum limit when withdrawing? If so, how much?
Hopefully a BPI Family Bank account holder will be able to help me.

If someone uses this in the Philippines:
_I think_ someone will suddenly snatch the digital camera.Goodness, I’ve lost trust in the people of this country. *shakes head*
This guy’s a lucky dude. I also want to meet Maria Ozawa. For no reason at all. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a video of hers. When will she ever release good porn again?
Ozawa kinda resembles somebody I know. Must be the smile. D:

Daily, Plugs, Reviews: TriNoma Blogger FOOD TOUR (Part 2/2) (5 Comments)
Internet has been quite slow lately.
Seeing the pictures again from the food tour is making me hungry.
It’s about time I finish my food tour post before everything else.
After Italianni’s, our next stop was Fish & Co. Just look at how delicious their food looks:
Oh wait, that’s me in the corner of the picture… Looking stupid.
The fish fillet was good.
We went to the lower floor. I think it was the 3rd floor. Haiku was our first stop there. They had a pretty presentation of a seasoned sashimi and a salad. I don’t know what their names are.
The salad’s tasty, but there’s something about it that I didn’t like much. I think it was slightly salty or whatever seasoning they put there made me hardly taste the vegetables. Hmm…
Next stop is Hossein. Our stop there was a bit long. I don’t know if the other groups went there before us, but it seemed like we were the first group they served food to.
The next restaurants we went to were just quick stops. There weren’t much time and the other groups were already done. I’d then usually be just near the entrance except for those restos who served iced tea or water.

Madison

Madison didn’t serve us any food at all.
We weren’t the only group who complained about this. Even though most of us were full and only few might have tasted their food, they should have still served something. Why be a part of the food tour if you are just going to show us the food? What do they want us to say about them? Na madamot sila?

Pinoy food from Abe
We got a taste of Filipino from Abe. Finally, something different, but too common. Know what I mean?
The next restaurants we ate at are La Maison and Conti’s.
Food from La Maison

Conti’s cakes are just delicious! :9
La Maison’s food tasted great. I should ask my parents to eat there next time. As for Conti’s, they ran out of the food they served the food tour participants, but the lady who assisted us still gave us cakes. They were very, very delicious. We had a lot. Desserts are great after a looong~ meal.
Our group, with very few left, headed back to where everyone else was. There was a band performance and a contest that we missed. I had a little fight with Mac as well. He was acting like a kid. It upset me that he could hardly find patience for me. It made me wonder if he was hardly excited for me during the food tour.
More pictures are posted here. They’re also posted in my Facebook account (minus the captions).
I have mentioned nose surgery before. I think. @_@ Anyway, hope you guys don’t find it annoying that I will be posting about it again.I have known a lot of people who have undergone nose surgery. I haven’t heard of any troubles, so I guess it’s a safe procedure unless you go to a surgeon who doesn’t look like he knows what he’s doing.
I’d like to have a nose surgery if given the chance AND money.
I’d like my nose to be a bit pointed. Haha~ Though I know someone who would be against the idea.

Daily, Plugs: Film cameras (Comments Off)
Some of the film cameras I’m currently using:

GREEN-ADE

Close-up of GREEN-ADE

My Dad’s old SLR, but it’s under my care for now.

Some of its buttons or controls; needs cleaning
These are all film cameras. Unfortunately, there are more, but my Mom has them, some were sold, and we gave one freebie camera to one of our helpers (but will borrow that next time ^_^). I also have a Vivitar IC100 that I forgot to take a picture of. *sweatdrop* I also got the Holga 135BC for Phoebe:

(Sorry, Phoebe, tested it muna… Tagal mo eh. HAHAHAH~
Though it would be great if you get it later. I sent you SMS. Waiting for your reply!)
I’m still not satisfied with what I have.
If you find the Holga or any of the plastic cameras as expensive (has any hobby ever been cheap?), a total waste of money, etc., but want the same effects they produce then go to Holganizer. Go cheat your pictures with that.
This site has a lot of camera pictures. ENVY!
liposuction for fat removal is opted by those who want the quick way to lose, uhmm, fat.Liposculpture, provided by Abergel Institute (see link), uses smaller instruments designed to remove fat with improved results and quick healing. Getting a liposuction is best for those fats who wouldn’t go away, imo. If it doesn’t seem scary for me, I would have my thighs worked on.
I may have to ask my Mom for a check-up. The root canal has been slightly painful for some days now. *sighs*

Daily, Goodies, Plugs: Inside my bag + downloadables (Comments Off)
I did some little blog-hopping and I discovered this post. Bryanboy has a blog (that isn’t so active anymore) showing off pictures of what’s inside people’s bags. Probably due to the massive emails, Bryanboy stopped updating that blog.
Inside my bag: glasses, bag holder, notepad, Parker mech. pencil, powder, Dr. Pepper lip balm, candies, lollipop, hair clips, pins, comb, alcohol, ponytail holder, digicam, lighter, cigarettes (in the Bob Marley case), wallet, facial tissue, and Levi’s swoosh hat (for windy and rainy days) - these are the essentials
Other _essentials_ I forgot to add in the pic above — cellphones and keys :3
Sometimes I bring the PSP, DS Lite, mp3 player, GREEN-ADE (yeah, that’s my Holga’s name), planner, and journal
Napkins, of course, I would bring if it’s the time of the month.*lol* Please share what’s in your bag!
Too lazy to make a separate post — music videos both in mp4 format:
Download the videos right away because Mediafire, I hear, deletes files.
Mp3:
Eva Cassidy - Time After Time
Goldfinger - Just Like Heaven
Jose Gonzales - Down the Line
Rachid Taha - Rock the Casbah
And, not by me — http://aryangig.com/www.aryandl.ir/ — mostly softwares.
Visit the Seattle cosmetic dentist and porcelain veneers for teeth makeover should you need it.Some of their services include laser teeth whitening or invisible braces. If it weren’t so expensive, I would have used the invisible braces. I heard Daemon 3 is, but my Mom thought Daemon 2 is already fine. Anyway, it’s best to have great teeth to bring out a good smile.
It’s quite a turn-on for some, you know.
