Daily, Entertainment: It’s Pacquiao’s fight today (1 Comment)

During Mexico’s national anthem he was sitting down. I think I saw him smirk. O_o Even if it’s another country’s national anthem, shouldn’t he be standing up to show respect?

Also, do you use any calendar application for your events, birthdays, or for your daily time management? I just downloaded Google Desktop, so I could use the GCal widget/application. I haven’t installed it yet because I want to know of other alternatives. ^_^

Daily, Entertainment: Last week on Shabby’s life (0 Comments)

:sing: I should get that breakfast table (or whatever you call it) from my parent’s room. I’m going to become a hunchback if I keep typing with this laptop on my bed and me slouching. Ugh~

Last week has been semi-busy for me. ^_^ Last Monday’s the first day of school in Mapua. I drove there (with no problems luckily because I have poor eyesight haha~), arrived at around 10:30AM, and lined up in the Customer Service to ask for a certification that my Dad had been asking me to get. He wants it while we wait for my transcript that will take 2-3 weeks to process. The certification is just an official letter from school I have taken all the major courses and only have the thesis to finish. After about 30 minutes, thank goodness to my trustee mp3 player that made my wait less boring, I was able to talk to the lady in charge. I asked if they could give me the certification. She didn’t know what I was talking about. She checked the list of what records they provide for the students, but didn’t seem to find what I want. She told me to talk to our program registrar. I went there, seeing a really long line, I asked my Dad through SMS if I could just email the head registrar. He told me to try to get it that day. It was so hot and noisy that I thought I would faint. When I got to speak to the registrar, all she said is that she can’t give me a certification because I still have a continuing course. That is the thesis. ~_~ She probably thought I was asking for the usual certifications they give. Dammit. I wish they’d listen properly. She said I should just wait for my transcript. *sigh* I haven’t told my Dad yet. He’s going to be pissed even though it’s not entirely my fault. I also think they wouldn’t give me the certification he’s asking about because they will only give what they could get money out of.

Man, I was lucky I got to talk to her before their lunch break. The assistants of every program registrar should take an early lunch and have them do the task while the registrars take their break. ~_~ I pity the students who do not get to make it. You waited long and you have to wait longer for their lunch break to be over. In spite of being a technical school, enrolling there is always a pain. The lines are always long even until the first week of school every term! For this term’s first week, the only change I saw is that they accept CREDIT CARDS. Finally! If they accepted that before, I would have paid with less worries. I wouldn’t have to worry about the cash or checks I bring. XP The school’s turned into a mall. They have a customer service and they accept credit cards. ^_^V

After that, I went home, had lunch, waited for Mac before going on a joyride with him and Mang Ed. *lol* I was so tired when we got home. I blame those 2 lines I went through. Even though you only have to stand up the entire time, it’s still tiring. I guess impatience and irritability consumes a lot of energy. *lol* We camwhored and watched a few episodes of Frisky Dingo while we ate sausages. He left before 11PM. Then I tried to work on our thesis paper. :|

About Frisky Dingo, thanks to Jen for blogging about it before, you guys should also watch it. It’s hilariously stupid. XD Xander Crews is a major jerk. Killface is… Really out of this world. ^_^V The episodes are only 11 minutes each, so it won’t take you forever to watch it. ^_^

Tuesday to Thursday, I stayed at home doing the paper and minor stuff including those I mentioned in my previous post. I wanted to go to school last Thursday, but decided I’ll go on Friday. The schedule of my payment was last Friday, October 4. I didn’t want to go out 2 days in a row. I’m lazy and I’m scared of the sun. HAHAHAHAHA~ I asked Mac that we meet up by 9 or 10AM, but I slept in late. I woke up by 10:30AM. ^_^V Sorry, Mac! We met up after lunch, got my money at Western Union, then I went to school. It’s already Friday and the line at the Customer Service was still effin’ long. Thank goodness my thesis groupmate Sylvan was there. It would have been really boring if I were alone. -_- Mac hanged out and played with my PSP at McDonald’s while he waited for me. It took me hours to be able to leave school. I had to talk to my thesis groupmates. I was pissed off because I feel like we’re going nowhere. Some of my groupmates aren’t really into it. *gah* Fucking thesis. >_<

I’ve heard about the issue of Teri Hatcher’s character in Desperate Housewives. I can’t believe that a non-educational show (nothing like National Geographic or Discovery Channel series/shows) will get noticed badly like that. ^_^V When she said, “… before we go any further, can I check those diplomas because I just wanna make sure that they’re not from some med school in the Philippines,” I thought she meant a school that isn’t widely known for its medical teaching. Before I go on, it won’t be too long anyway, I am not talking about this because I want to attract replies or visitors. This isn’t for a short-time net fame. ~_~ Nor am I not being ‘di-makabayan.’ All of us have their share of opinions and this is mine. Reading entries about this subject and the flood of replies is kind of funny, actually. The offended people will rant on and on, wanting the blogger to side with them. That’s fine, but if you start insulting them in the slightest way is not nice.

Moving on… I have to agree with Sassy Lawyer. I won’t go into details of what she said. Go read her post instead. If this is discrimination or a racist comment to you, then we discriminate fellow Filipinos with regards to their school. I hear some people say that person A is no good at this because he/she only graduated at this school. Whereas person B would be fit for this job (whatever that may be) because he/she came from this school. Oh well, this may not make any sense to you. It’s 5:14AM (as I type this), I only had less than an hour of sleep, and I’m effin’ hungry. Also, there’s an issue on Burma that should be taken more notice of than some TV series.

Free Burma!

Unfortunately, I’m days late on posting that graphic. *sighs*

Photo-post coming later, I hope. I need a quick sleep before I get ready to our early Sunday mass.
