Anime & Manga, Plugs: Fave manga titles atm (4 Comments)

I have about 3 fave manga titles atm:
1. Nana by Ai Yazawa
2. Parfait Tic! by Nanaji Nagamu
3. Boys’N Girl by Kei Yasunaga
Actually, they’re already included in my all-time fave list, but these are the titles I’m currently hooked on to. I’m itching to look for summaries of Nana and Parfait Tic. MegKF’s finally done scanlating Boys’ N Girl, but the story’s still etched in my mind.
So, why do like Nana? First off, there’s a band. It’s the first time I’ve read a manga that tells a story about a band. I’ve read a few others with band stuff too, but nothing like this. I prefer the sweet, innocent, but clumsy Nana over the rocker chick. She reminds me of myself (except for the innocent part). I’m also selfish — there are days when I kinda beg for attention.
But I’m still kinda like the rocker chick (if you don’t know, her name’s also Nana). I’m always lonely, hard to comprehend, liberated, devoted to her band, mature, not very sociable (plainly obvious), doesn’t like meddle in other people’s business, smokes, doesn’t care what other people think of her… Err, it seems I’m more like the rocker chick. *rofl* Anyhoo, most chapters end up about rocker-Nana and even though the endings aren’t sad, I get teary-eyed because it’s touching. Her devotion to the band and her love for Ren. Her relationship is a toughie to handle. I can’t bare not being able to contact the person I love, yet if it’s for his success (career-wise) I guess it’s okay. It’s worst to be burden anyhoo. I like their drummer, Yasu. He’s very mature. His character seems to be the type you can always rely on. Plus, he’s a lawyer. 
A drummer and lawyer who looks uber sekshii in suit… *drools* XD I like Parfait Tic! because I can relate to the love story. Fuuko likes Ichi, the quiet & smart guy, and vice-versa yet his actions make it hard to believe if he’s really serious of her. And everytime Fuuko is troubled by their relationship, Daiya (Ichi’s cousin) comes in the scene. He’s tries his best to make her laugh and smile. He even asked her friends to have a li’l slumber party just so she wouldn’t sulk and be depressed at her home while Ichi was out accompanying another woman. >P Daiya’s always there for her. Reminds me of someone who also makes me laugh (a lot) whenever I’m troubled. Fuuko doesn’t think the same as I do though. Because I always think why couldn’t it be him when he’s always there? My friends think the same too. I guess it’s because it shouldn’t even happen. Aside from that, my liking for him before is gone. Long gone.
Unlike Fuuko, I didn’t get dumped. I just thought it’s best to forget the feeling. Boys’N Girl is sorta similar to Hana Yori Dango! So there’s no need to explain why I like this manga.
