An uber lot happened and it’s all because of the band practices and gigs.

May 14
The day I got a new phone. (Pics 1, 2, 3.) I kinda dislike it. I miss my ol’ 6100 or my Motorola Timeport. My friends are enjoying using this though ‘coz of the cam. ^^v We had band practice too. I thought Carlo wouldn’t be able to attend, but Jozen and Roland picked him up, so…

May 15
I had a freakin’ quiz in CE Math. Another failure.

I met up with Pebbles because she wanted to watch our band practice. I remember I rode the wrong jeepney.

I had a long walk to her school, but it was worth it. I was able to pass by Rizal Memorial Stadium (or whatever the name is) and saw Taekwondo students taking the promotional test. I just had to stop and watch the kids. Some guy was looking oddly at me because I was smiling and feeling nostalgic — my former classmates (including LG), the promotional tests, my first and last knuckle push-ups, and the Saturday practices from 6-9 PM. Funny how I miss it even though the practices were a pain. >__>

Then we argued. I was very hungry, but he wanted me to go to sleep. Hehe~ I got some sleep around 7 AM when Hazel found a good spot on my bed (Jenny was hogging it all night). I slept in my ‘rents lovey-dovey-couch.

K. Wasabi’s gig at Freedom Bar!

Thanks to BJ, his sis, his bro (I’m just guessing), and Mike for coming to watch us.

It was a blast. People cheered for Sarah a lot. Hehe~ It wasn’t surprising since she’s the first only girl vocalist who performed there. We had 2 sets — we performed Sarah’s first and the second w/ Carlo as the vocals. BJ gave me flowers after our first set. I was removing the cables from my Digitech when I saw a guy walk towards me. I couldn’t see his face due to the lights. I saw the flowers though and I thought, “Flowers for Sarah?” I was about to help the guy look for Sarah ‘coz I didn’t want to be the person who will hand over the flowers for him. I stood up and saw it was BJ. I smiled and asked him who the flowers were for. He only said, “Shabby.”

Even though we knew each other, I still thought those were for Sarah. The crowd almost went berserk after he handed me the flowers. I almost went berserk/crazy myself because I didn’t like that much attention.

May 20
K. Wasabi’s gig at KSP Bar and another at Club Indios (w/ Neighbors and CBI). I think only 6-7 bands went to KSP Bar due to the bad weather. >P We’re the first performers and we’re awfully not satisfied with the outcome. Not because of the crowd, but because of the equipment. Stupid microphones and freakin’ drums that had to be “blocked” by 2 amps so it wouldn’t move anymore. Unsatisfied as I was, I met some nice people to make up for it.

I wouldn’t meet any of them if it weren’t for my brother and Carlo forgetting to bring drumsticks. ^^vvv

The gig at Club Indios was rather impromptu. I called Luv through Jun’s phone to ask if the May 21 gig was going to push through so we could prepare. She said it’s postponed and I should just go to Club Indios that night to watch Jun. I told her we’re on our way to KSP Bar and she suddenly “ordered” me to ditch it. She said we should just play at Club Indios. She kept forcing me and I thought it’s bad to turn her down because she’s the one forcing us, not the other way around. *sweatdrop*

If we were unsatisfied with KSP, in Club Indios it was DISAPPOINTING & DEPRESSING. The instruments are okay and the set-up was even on a terrace. It was cool. Our PERFORMANCE was the biggest disappointment ever. Argh. Burigs made a mistake with Just A Girl, Sarah gets confused, stopped and Roland and I got confused too. It was a _fudgin’_ obvious mistake. I should have told Burigs not to sing the songs she didn’t practice. We argued after that and she told me she knows the song that it’s no big deal, but I said what she wants to happen is impossible — not practicing and only showing up during gigs? Wtf. When I told her that the gig at Club Indios was an audition she went, “You should have told me earlier.” Meaning, she’s not being serious at all. WTF.

Ack, there might be something wrong with my ears. I think Calvin sounds like John McCrea of Cake. o_o Only Kaye could tell if I’m wrong.
